Back in Breckenridge, the four friends were now all at Tory's house playing basketball. Tory and Chris were on one team, Zach and Xander were on another. They played until it got dark out then headed into the house. Chris and Tory beat Zach and Xander 25 to 22 and Zach was not happy
Zach: I just don't think it was a fair match
Chris:how was it not fair?!
Zach:you guys got the good hoop, yours was lower than ours!
Tory:You used the same excuse last time

Chris:But last time we were scoring on the other Hoop
Zach:{looks defeated}
Xander:we can still beat the ravens tomorrow

The front door opens and Jace walks in

Alice:Thanks for babysitting Jace, I know most Seniors have plans on Friday nights but-
Jace:-Mom, its not a big deal. I love hanging out with Max and Tory
Alice:{rolls her eyes} Yes, you are getting paid.
Jace:{sarcastically} Aww, you don't have to. {short pause} How much?
Alice:{rolls her eyes}7 dollars an hour

Alice:{rushing out} All the emergency phone numbers are on the fridge door, if you have any questions ask Tory. Err...I love you and try not to destroy my house {kisses Jace and Tory on the forehead}
Jace:Bye Mom {shuts the door after Alice walks out}
Jace started walking towards the living room where Tory, Chris, Xander and Zach were watching TV

Tory:{rolls her eyes} UUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHH...

Tory:Shouldnt you be doing something stupid with you fellow seniors?

Tory:{walks towards the kitchen} I've lived with Mr golden boy... Cool isn't the first word that comes to mind
Chris:Come on, he drives us to school
Tory:{from the kitchen} Because mom makes him and we also go to the same school.
Xander:he let us hang out with his friends
Tory:Because he thinks I have a crush on one of them and he trying to humiliate me
Jace: I'm not trying to humiliate you, I just want you to talk to him!
Tory:{re-entering the living room} Im not hearing a difference

Tory:No, Jace just thinks I do and wants to watch me embarrass myself.
Jace:okay, if you don't like him, how did you know I was talking about Jackson
Tory:because he intimidates me, I mean he scored a half court swish 3 times in a row, in one game!

Tory:And! Are you kidding me? He is like the best basketball player in this town! Its like meeting Lebron James and acting like he is just, one of the guys
Jace:{rolls his eyes} Whatever

Jace:{walking away} I should go check on max
