Jenosighed, leaning against the wall as he watched his best friend's mother slept peacefully on her bed.
"Invading someone else's privacy isn't something I do regularly." Jisung whispered, opening lavishly decorated drawers and hoping to find a clue so that they could finally exit the room. Being in there suffocated the poor boy.
"Me neither." Yeji agreed. "But I'm doing this for Ivy. Oi Jeno, help us would you?"
"Did you guys know about Mrs.Na's illness?" Jeno asked. "Jaemin kept all this to himself."
Indeed he did. Neither of his friends had a clue about the illness until these three overheard a maid's conversation about being forbidden to assist the patient.
Jaemin's mother slept miserably throughout the pain. She had no aid nor did she receive any medicine for the past few hours, making it almost impossible to live another day.
"He keeps a lot of things to himself." Jisung sighed and opened another drawer which had animal print underwear filled inside. He immediately shut it close, causing his friends to flinch.
"Jisung, be quiet—"
"What are you guys doing in here?"
As if on a cue, the trio snapped their heads towards the direction of Pang's voice, eyes widening from horror as they met her mischievous ones.
"What are you doing here?" Yeji questioned back.
Pang rolled her eyes and stepped into the room. She displayed a smirk on her face and sank into an arm chair. As she scanned Mrs.Na's face for a reaction, the silence hung in the air.
"Is she alright?"
Jeno nodded, glancing at his friends and signaling them to keep their mouth shut about her real condition.
"You didn't answer." Yeji's voice thundered. "Why are you here?"
"I've finished my homework. So I've decided to explore this place...eventhough I know every corner thanks to Jaemin." Pang chuckled bitterly before whispering the rest. "I don't know why I came here."
"Then leave." Yeji muttered, her finger pointing towards the end of the room where the door stood wide open.
Though she was in no hurry, Pang stood up immediately, feeling unwanted and disliked by people she once considered as friends. She felt tired, hopeless and her hands shook with fury. She had inexplicable feelings lingering in her head.
She didn't care about the things she had done. Pang thought her friends were forgiving and kind, people who would never turn their backs on her. But she never understood that their loyalty only lasted while she kept her good friend image. As soon as her heart broke, she lashed out on her best friend, hence breaking their never lasting bond.
