Maverine: It was July 1977, I was at Lakeville making barbecue with my six talented friends, Ed White, Paul Krause, Wally Hilgenberg, Brent McClanahan, Matt Blair and Bobby Bryant.
Paul and Wally were doing fitness, Brent and Bobby were watching TV, Ed was painting of me being a model, and Matt was taking a picture of me cooking a barbecue, and Ed yells out, "Don't get hot, Maverine," and I did.
So I finally got a hot dog and a hamburger to all of these guys, and Ed's painting was good in shape. His wife Joan saw the painting of me, and she said, "Is that your friend?" He said, "Why yes it is." Although she was jealous of his painting, and the next morning, he returns to his painting at my house, and even got his name on it. This is the only paint that Ed painted me.
