Okay, so there are 3 possible suspects: Golden Freddy, Shadow Freddy, of Funtime Freddy. I'll knock them down one by one.
1st suspect: Golden Freddy
I can see why people think this. The 'It's Me' to Michael in FNaF 1, 'Cassidy' and him talking to each other through the logbook, etc. But remember, the murders happened in 1985, 2 years after the Crying Child's death;1983.
The reason why I think it's the Bite of 1983, is because of the advertisement om the T.V, which has the year 1983 on it. Plus, if you type 1983 on the keypad in SL, you'll get three places that we play as C.C (Crying Child) in FNaF 4. It was confirmed in Into the Pit that the murders took place in 1985.
2nd suspect: Shadow Freddy
I don't really know where this idea came from. I'm not saying it's dumb, I just don't see any evidence that proves C.C possesses Shadow Freddy, so I don't believe it.
3rd suspect: Funtime Freddy
In my full opinion, this option satisfies me the most. When it comes to Funtime Freddy's voice lines, it always has something to do with birthday parties (i.e, him calling Michael the 'birthday boy', "Get ready for a surprise", etc.). And where did C.C die? At his birthday party.
Before you go attacking me saying "bUt ThE fUnTiMeS DiDn'T eXiSt In 1983!" I personally believe they did. I believe that Elizabeth died first, which would explain the empty girl's bedroom in C.C's house. How did Elizabeth die? Being clawed by Circus Baby, who is a part of the Funtime animatronics. If it's true Elizabeth died first, then the Funtimes could have certainly exist during 1983.
Now let's move on to another key feature to prove this idea. Ennard/Molten Freddy. As we all know, Ennard is a mix between all the Funtime animatronics. When Baby got kicked out of Ennard, Funtime Freddy took control. But why Funtime Freddy? It would only make sense if C.C possessed him, because he's Elizabeth's brother. Not to mention his voice lines, like "Together again!" Which would refer him and Michael having a 'reunion.' As well as "One big happy family!" Which would refer to the Aftons.
In conclusion, the best suspect for me is Funtime Freddy, but if you prefer another animatronic, that's okay! Besides, it's just a theory (a Game Theory)! If you have a different belief on who he possesses, let me know in the comments! I'm eager to listen on what you believe!
