I look at my reflection and see a radiant smile filling the room, but it's hardly ever seen anymore. Now I see an injured girl who fakes it on the outside, but yearns for her Tegina on the inside. The Tegina I didn't ask for. The Tegina that loved me. The Tegina that would not have abandoned me. Yet when I move away from my reflection I see my self as her. I was a girl who just wanted to be reassured that I wasn't forgotten about. That I wasn't just thrown out with the other trash. A girl who just wanted to be with the person she knew was like a mom. But i'm the girl who has to accept reality and move on.
