the next day
Dream was in a VC with george, one of the few people who dream had actually told about his crush.
"Why won't he take a god damn hint?!" dream yelled, annoyed and angry that his constant efforts were not working.
"i- i don't know dream! he must be stupid or something!" george exclaimed, desperately trying to get dream to calm down.
"i mean, come on. I had us two code a minecraft mod where we HELD HANDS. I MUTTERED *maybe i do* WHEN HE SAID I DIDNT WANT TO HOLD HANDS." dream exasperated. "I EVEN COMPLIMENTED HIM GEORGE! i never do that. and even after all that, he still doesn't like me! in fact, it seems he's starting to like me less."
"dream, you don't have to make yourself all loveydovey for him to liek you. be you! if Sapnap ends up falling for whoever your pretending to be right now, he's not gonna be in love with you, he'll be in love with some persona you'll have used to lead him on!" george tried to explain the the angry man.
"i guess your right, i just wish he would listen." dream sighed. his mood was off and he knew staring at his computer wouldn't help. "i'm gonna a get off, bye george"
"bye dream.." george said, worrifull. he didn't like to see dream like this, and he didn't like seeing sapnap so oblivious.
as dream took of his black headset, he stood up from his chair and walked into his kitchen, checking on patches in her cat bed. he rubbed her head and sat down on the floor next to her. he didn't say anything, he didn't cry, or yell, or show any emotion really. he just sat with the cat and held her, wishing it was someone else in his arms.
