2. The Queen of Time

"Another dream about her."

Light wakes up after a nightmare about the day he lost his sister.

As a Judge who kept storing up as many bad memories as the number of people he had saved, Light can no longer experience a normal dream. To be exact, he could but it is very rare for a Judge to have a normal dream. For every day in a month, there probably only one or two times where he would experience a normal dream and sometimes none at all. Most of the other time, he would experience countless nightmares from the bad incidents of all the people's memories inside his heart or his own painful memories.

Light takes his smartphone on the shelf to his left.

"6:30. still have time until my part-time job."

"I better prepare myself."

Light folds his hands and prays. He prays every morning as an act of asking for God's guidance and blessing for his daily activity.

"Amen."

Light gets out of his bed and walks out of his room. He walks towards the stair heading one level below, but as he passes by his sister's room, he stops.

"Morning, sis."

Light greets her nonexistent sister every morning with a very quiet voice and a sad smile as an act of acknowledging her presence when she was still alive.

Light walks down the stairs, proceeds to head to the living room, and takes a seat on the couch. He turns on his TV, and starts searching for the news channel. He's watching the news while eating a simple breakfast, an instant cup noodle.

"The largest cults of devil's follower have been kil---" *zzzt*

"The whereabouts of the legendary Queen of Cat---" *zzzt*

"A mass murder occurred in the---" *zzzt*

"A serial killer is on the loose, authorities have issu---" *zzzt*

"A group of self-proclaimed terrorists has causes disturbance here and the---" *zzzt*

"Same old crime news here and there as usual."

After breakfast, he took a bath and prepares himself to get ready for the day. In his room, He grabs his sister's earring that he always puts on a shelf and wears it on his left ear.

"Please watch over me too today, Luca." said Light talking to himself.

Light leaves the house. He activates his Faith power on both of his legs and gathers wind as they formed a small twister on both of his feet. Light starts to fly away and left the house towards his daily routine.

          5 minutes later. . .

As a Judge, I am supposed to have a strong Faith power compared to other Believers in general. This is due to my duty as a Judge to ensure victory towards the people I have to save. Most of the time, I have to make my targets unconscious first before proceeding with my Judging. This whole stuff about Judge is something that has never been done before in any history. This is a completely new system implemented by the One True God through me. However, even as a Judge, I still can't escape from the harsh reality of a soon-to-be grown up. Because I. . .

"Welcome!"

. . . work as a store clerk in a famous convenience store brand while wearing their symbolic uniform.

"Is this everything, sir?"

"Yes, please."

"Okay, that will be Rp 26,000!" (Rp = Rupiah, currency in Indonesia)
