Once upon a time.....Nah, fuck that shit.CHAPTER ONE -
❦
Wake up. Shower. Hair. Get dressed. Breakfast. Kiss mum goodbye.
These were the usual beginnings of yet another year at Hogwarts. I usually look forward to coming back each year, but this year I felt isolated and lonely. I had built up such walls with everyone at the end of last quarter that I was sure no one would give me the time of day.
I putt around in the driveway, waiting for my older brother Julius to come down, he was always late. Lorney, our driver who was very punctual, was chomping at the bit to leave.
"Hurry up now Julius," I yell from the driveway "We haven't got all year to wait around for you!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming," he took his time walking out of the large front door that decorated our front steps "No need to get your knickers in a bunch." He laughs, at my own expense.
"I just don't particularly prefer to be the last one to arrive at the platform J" I sneered.
Lorney always played classical music in the car, usually a Mozart piece or occasionally, my favorite, Chopin. The moderately long ride to Kings Cross was the perfect opportunity to get lost in my book. My brother, on the other hand, a total dimwit, would prefer to stare at his fingers or nap the whole ride.
"Don't you ever put those bricks of dust down..." he teased "I don't know, socialize or something?
"Don't you ever wish to enlighten yourself, or try to reverse some of the density that is your brain?"
"Oooh burn little sis," he jeered.
I got lost in a few chapters, before arriving at the station. I hugged Lorney goodbye and took my bags in through the doors.
getting to Kings Cross was easy, it was going through 9 ¾ that proved to be tricky every time.
I decided to go to the ladies' room before ramming myself full speed into that cursed mysterious wall. I made my way through the station, seeing families say goodbye to their children, sending them off to various places. A part of me wishing my parents would do that for me, but with father at the ministry, and mother at the museum, they didn't really have much time for sending us off.
As I reached the lavatories, a firm, cold hand reaches up behind me and grabs my waist. it could only be one person because only one person would dare to touch me like that...
Malfoy.
"I hope you plan to stay out of my way this year Burke," a cold tone whispered in my ear.
"Not a chance Malfoy," I stated strongly, but with a little twinge of sarcasm, my specialty.
"Well let's not forget what happened last time you failed to follow my rules, Irena..." his fingers started tracing the nape of my neck, moving my hair to the side. "Or should I remind you?"
"I thought we said no more Draco, not after the summer- ow!" he bit me! He actually sank his teeth into my neck, he knew that was my sweet spot. Over the summer, we got to know one another a little better during the council meetings that both of our families attended. There was nothing else to do and we only had each other to satiate our... needs.
"Okay, maybe one more time won't hurt?" I bargained with him.
"You and I both know it's never just one time Irena..." He wasn't wrong.
Let me start by saying that I did not have any particular romantic feelings for Draco Malfoy. One could even say we hated each other. The attraction was purely sexual. Okay, maybe he did have those dreamy grey eyes, that I could get lost in for hours on end and that stunning figure. He looked good since the summer ended, really good. I had to compose myself because what would happen next would need strength.
