Continued from Mistakes in the Moonlight.

The night on and i slowly fell for Kayden and his brown eyes, stupid jokes and caring smile.

" Hey dont you think we should go inside now ? what time is it anyways ? " i laughed

he gave me a funny look and said " well judging by the state of the the sun it would be something like i don't have a watch' o'clock . " he cocked his head and gave me a stupid grin.

" oh god you are weird. " i laughed as i watched the small flames flicker. i stood and stretched " i need a drink then and I'm hungry cmon" i pulled at his hand until he reluctantly stood. i didn't move for a second as i took in his every detail. then his arms were around my waist and he was picking me up and then pulling me into his arms in some quick and complicated move. " PUT ME DOWN " i laughed and tried to push his arms away.

he laughed and started walking towards the house " sure you want to get down ? " he asked as he started dropping me

" NO no no,OK,OK don't ! " i started having a coughing fit

he put me down on the ground and i bent over and started coughing again " you OK Katherine ?

i stopped coughing and gasped for air and slowly felt my cheeks growing red as his hand patted my back. i stood and look him in the eyes smiled and nodded.

we walked up to the back door silently and i opened the door and crept inside and i heard Kayden follow me. i walked into the bathroom to check my hair and was surprised to find i didn't look like crap so i slunk back into the kitchen and watched Kayden from the entrance. he had his back to me so i silently walked beside him " anything to eat ? " i whispered

" marsh mellows " he held up the bag and i nodded my approval. he refilled his glass and held it up so i took it and finished the water he took the empty glass and we stood there watching each other silently gazes locked he lent down until his lips were within reach and i smiled as i lifted my head upwards so close to taking the offer when i heard Brandon cough from the doorway.

" mhmm " i stared at him and blushed like a little kid being caught  " You guys going back outside ? " he asked with suspicion in his voice

" yup " i nodded and took the marsh mellows from Kaydens hand and walked past Brandon

i heard them talking quietly so i slipped out the back and felt my head swell with emotions for Kayden. Why do i like him ? is it because he is normal ? no, i hope not. he's just ... different ...

i felt cold hands lace around my wrists as i tried to pull a long twig from a branch down " what was that about ? " i asked

" what me disappearing ? " a voice replied and i was startled at who it was.

" Iyry what are you doing here !? " i asked frantically

" i thought you wanted me with you ?" he asked sad now

" i do its just - ... " my voice trailed as i heard Kayden call my name from around the house not in view yet " look Iyry i want one night ... one night to be normal please. "

" you dont know what your doing ! if you get involved with him it could kill him. " he tightened his grip on my wrists

" look i ... " i felt his hands leave my wrists and i turned around to find him gone. " not going to get used to that" i muttered

i quickly turned and pretended i wasn't confused and grabbed the stick the walked down to the bonfire but before i could reach there i slipped on the mud and before hitting the ground i felt hands grabbing at me and keeping me up. once i had steadied myself i turned and smiled at Kayden " thanks, I'm a real klutz. " i blushed embarrassed
