One week later
Amelia woke up with Harry next to her. She smiled softly as he snuggled into her side. She looked at the time and it read 8:46 AM. Amelia looked at the ceiling for a solid minute. She wondered how she was gonna leave the apartment and to to her doctors appointment without Harry finding out. She debated just canceling the appointment but that would then cause Amelia to pay a large fee to the hospital for canceling so soon and she didn't have money just lying around for her to blow. She felt shaky and dizzy today.
Today was Harry's big party to celebrate Sign of the times coming out. Amelia was nervous about the party. She knew that many famous and powerful people were gonna be there. Amelia had only good experiences with celebrities that she had written for. She still felt intimidated by them though. She sat up and decided her best guess was to just leave a note on the counter like the first time. It was different though because the first time she was at Harry's house and this time Harry was at her apartment. Amelia got out of bed quietly and moved to her dresser.
She picked out some jeans and hoodie. She didn't dress up because she would just be sitting there for 2 hours. That meant she was gonna get home at 11:30 and Harry would for sure be up by then. She opened her bedroom door causing Harry to move. He luckily stayed asleep and Amelia shut the door and grabbed her car keys and walked out of the apartment. She got into her car and drove quickly to the hospital.
Amelia sat in the chair. "Well Miss. Dillon it looks like the cancer is slowly getting better but it still is not where we want it to be" the doctor said as Amelia felt extremely dizzy sitting in the chair and getting the IV taken out of her arm. "So what does that mean?" Amelia asked almost slurred. The doctor looked at the chart for a minute and then looked at the girl. "Are you having any severe side effects?" The doctor asked and Amelia sat back and thought for a minute. "I've only been feeling a bit dizzy, I've been shaking for a couple days after, and I've thrown up at least once after treatment." Amelia said explaining all of her side effects to the doctor.
"Okay so those aren't they extreme and what about your hair with the cooling cap?" The doctor asked and Amelia shrugged "I haven't noticed a difference" the girl said happy that at least one thing was working. "Okay well I think we are gonna give you some higher doses next time you visit us." The doctor said making Amelia dread the next appointment she has. Amelia agreed with the doctor whatever it takes to get the disease out of her.
"Okay well you are free to go" the doctor said giving the girl a smile. Amelia thanked the doctor and sat up feeling dizzy. She walked out the door. She went towards her car and got in. She couldn't help the tears pour down her face as she turned her car on. Everything was starting to become too much for the girl. She was worried that the higher doses won't helping even though it was gonna make her feel even worse then she was already feeling. She was worried that Harry was gonna find out in the wrong way and think the girl was a liar and couldn't be trusted.
