Bradley's POV cont'd:

When we all got our food we settled on our food oh wait that reminds me, I gave Meera my biology text book last term let me ask her for it.

"Meera my biology text book"I said

"Hmm?" Meera said

"Remember last term, your biology note was missing so I borrowed you my textbook because I had two, and my cousin took one so I need that one back"

"Ohh okay, .... But it's not with me_" Meera

"Whattt?!"I said

" You didn't let me finish, I gave it to Nicole"Meera said.

" Oh."I said then I turned to Nicole and said , " don't worry you can bring it first week of third term".

" I'm not coming next term" Nicole said still taking a bite of her chicken.

" What do you mean you're not coming next term Nicole how will you now write NECO, JAMB, WAEC, SSCE and so on?"

" I'll do them all in South Africa and didn't you come to school on Friday " Nicole said

" No I didn't" I said

"Oh well, Meera will explain it to you" Nicole said and continued eating.

" Nicole's mum is currently in South Africa with her younger brother, Nathaniel and her mum got a job there in one of the best hospitals as radiation oncologist, or should I say cancer treater and her dad also got a job there as a project director and they found a great university for Nicole so she'll be joining them next week" Ameera said

" Whattttt??!!???!! " I said

" Don't worry you can follow me home and pick your biology text book " Nicole said

"And no one told me" I said.

" You never asked " Nicole said

"When we're done eating we'll go to Mr price, pep,....................." Meera continued blabbering but I already blocked her out, Nicole was leaving no one told me, how will I find her, where in South Africa was she going to, Limpopo, Cape town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Gauteng,

" Hey Bradley were you listening to what I was saying" Meera said

"Yes I mean no..I guess" I said

"I'm going to repeat what I said but you don't listen again ehn?!.... I will come for you. Got that?" Meera said

"Yeah, yeah" I said.

"Better, so we will go to pep, Mr price and other clothing store here and then when we're done we will go to palms mall, I will go with Tobi, Nicole with you and Sophie is going with Adam her boyfriend so let's start " Meera said.

"Why didn't you tell me" I asked

It's only Nicole and I in my car driving to palms mall and we've not talked so I thought of starting a conversation,,,,, what am I even Saying I need her to talk to me and tell me where in South Africa she is going.

"Tell you what?" Nicole asked.

"That you were leaving"I said

"Why weren't you in school on the last day of first term Mister Bradley Okafor" she said

I was saving my brother from being killed

Then she turned showing me her delicate, clear and beautiful brown eyes. Brad focus.

" Excuse me?"she said

"Wait did I say that out loud" I asked

"Yes you did" she said.

" Okay, forget I said so " I said

"No , what do you mean by you were saving your brother from being killed? " She asked

"Well he's in a boarding school, ss1 and I just found out that he is a gambler, first he has a bad grade, and now he jumps over the fence at night to bet he was betting on a boxing match for fifty thousand Naira and he lost, obviously fifty thousand Naira is not much but my dad blocked all his cards then he called me but from the house to the bar is a two hour drive so when I got there they were beating him up mercilessly so I paid them and took my brother to the hospital and I stayed there with him till the day broke and sneaked him back to school and went home, dressed up and went to school but I got there it was already 1 'o' clock and the securities didn't let me in so now you know"I said and looked at the road

♧Nicole's Pov♧

'' Why did your dad block all his cards'' I asked.

'' It's a long story '' he said

''Then summarise it" I said

"My dad block all his cards when he found out he was failing all subjects '' he said

"But you are a genius and he's a dullard how" I asked

"I seriously don't know, and I'll take that as a compliment" he said

"Better don't let your head swell because I will burst it" I said

"I still don't know how I got second position my average was ninety seven percent the person that got first position must have cheated" he said.

" Whoa, did you just call me a cheat" I asked

" No why the hell will I call you a cheat I'm sure you got seventy two percent" he said

" *Gasps* for your information my average percentage was ninety eight percent I would love to see you beat that Mr smarty pants" I said.

" Now I'm sure you cheated, I'm sure you were looking at my paper in the exam hall" he said

" Dude I was seated at the back and you at the front in a gigantic hall with all the students in it and it has video cameras, and all the teachers were monitoring us so how do you expect me to cheat " I asked.

"You're smart I'm sure you did something" he said.

"You can't just admit that I am smarter than you, can you? " I said.

"How can I_". " Blah blah blah blah blah I'm better than you admit it " I said, smartly.

I don't know why but being with and talking to Brad is always nice I'll never tell anyone that.

" We're almost there"he said

"I see what you did there but I'm still better than you" I said.

"What the hell did I just see Brad did you see what I saw " I asked Bradley

"Yeah I thought I was hallucinating"he said

" No you're not" I said
