Where should I start.. I'm Y/N, and I'm 18 years old. That's it. That's all I know about myself. I mean, I know myself, but relatives? Where I'm from? I've got no clue. From what I was told, my mother wasn't able to handle me, so then instead of putting me up for adoption she brought me here.
To be honest, I can't tell if this is a prison or not. The people here treat us like shitty prisoners so there's really no difference, is there? Although, we're able to roam around freely, so it's not as bad..? But then again, I don't even bother talking to the girls here. They're all bratty and annoying, and sure it's perhaps because I'm seen as a cold and nonchalant person but still. At least give me a chance.
And on top of that, every single morning after breakfast we get some rich dude walking around the place like it's some kind of mall, then taking a girl home with them. From any normal person's perspective, that's just fucked up. Isn't that literally trafficking? A serious crime??? Then again, I can't really do anything about it, I just wish I'm never chosen. Then there's some girls where they're desperate to be taken by those filthy men. It's weird, but it's not my business to begin with anyways. I just usually ignore the men, hoping they just pass me, and it works. Thankfully.
"Y/N! Get up! It's time for breakfast!" Mr Lee burst's into my room, shouting to get me out of bed. Mr Lee's the owner of this fucked up place. The person who "takes care of me" until, I don't know, someone else does, despite me being a grown adult but whatever.
I glared at him, then turned back around facing the wall to continue fiddling with the small ball in my hand. "Stop it with this childish behavior and go to the cafeteria!" I sigh, getting up and throwing the ball above my back so it lands on my bed.
I ignore his presence and walk straight to the cafeteria, everyone's already eating. Rude stares and giggles surround me. They're making fun of me, but it's whatever.
I walk to the small buffet to get my food then head near the window and sit down whilst gently placing my trey on the table.
I love the view outside, which is why I always sit here. And it's not like I'm not allowed to go outside. I mean.. We only go out for only two hours but it's better than nothing I guess. Sometimes I like to stare outside, wondering what it's like to have a family. I know I should be sad, but why should I be sad over something I've never had?
I take a bite out of my bread, looking around the cafeteria, everyone having fun laughing and talking with each other. While I'm alone, minding my own business.
The "sluts"—that's how I call them—sitting over at the back, patiently waiting for some rich man to take them. And from what I've heard, to be a part of their little petty group, you need to make out with one of them. Gross. Well, I've never touched myself sexually or anything like that... But I can't deny the fact I wanna experience it.
I quickly finished eating and then got up from my seat, leaving the cafeteria first as always. I walk right back to my room. It's pretty cozy in here honestly. I've got a desk, a bed and a closet which isn't filled with many clothes.
Before this, I used to go to school but since I'm 18, I stay here now. Nowhere to go despite being at this age.
Beside the cafeteria is the bathroom, big enough space for everyone yet little or to know privacy.
Suddenly, I start hearing the girls walk out the cafeteria, and with that knowledge it means another new rich guy will start roaming around choosing one of us to go with him.
I sigh, ignoring the bickering outside and continue throwing my ball against the wall and catching it.
Some minutes passed by and I could hear a few deep voices. The first man stopped by the room beside mine.
"That's Katja, 19. Katja, please say hi to Mr Wang" Mr Lee said, "Good morning Mr Swag" Katja said in response. I scoffed and rolled my eyes, focusing back to the ball I was playing with.
Until suddenly Mr Lee along with the man walked in.
"And this is Y/N. She's 18. Y/N say hello," Mr Lee said in a slightly less lighter tone than before. I ignore him and continue bouncing my ball at the wall waiting for them to leave.
"Ah.. My apologies, how about we move on?" The man visiting nodded his head and followed Mr Lee's lead.
Time passed and around 15 of those men tried to talk to me. It was exhausting, I just want a break. Just wanted to be left alone.
