"simone are you coming or not?" my aunt asks me.

"yess i'm coming!" i yell. i grab my bags, my phone, and my phone charger and walk out the hotel room.

we are currently driving to las vegas. i don't know what made my aunt think it was a good idea to drive instead of fly, but i like road trips so it's not a huge deal to me.

we drove 12 hours the first day, 13 hours yesterday, and now we have about 15 hours to drive today. it's currently 5 am.

my brother vallyk lives in las vegas in a house with his three best friends-derek, mike, and kobe. derek is also my best friend and i've actually known him longer than vallyk has.

my boyfriend tony also lives in las vegas so i get to see him when i go up there which i'm super excited about.

my younger sister jasline and my baby brother kenny are both still living with my aunt in new jersey.

whenever vallyk turned 19, he moved out here so he could live with his friends and make content.

he's now 21, so he's been here for 2 years. i've only gotten to visit him 4 times since then and those times were thanksgiving and christmas.

i met tony the second time i visited vallyk and we got to know each other for a while and finally started dating. we've been together for a little over a year now.

even though we've visited vallyk, we haven't really gotten to know his friends. like yes, we've talked, but we never really hung out other than derek.

i met derek in 8th grade on instagram. i actually was the one to talk to him first. i had been asking a bunch of random people for their snaps to see if they would give them to me and derek replied.
