Sorry for not updating for so long T-T my motivation has been gone and I have like no time nowadays. I will definitely try my best to keep a normal schedule from now on!!
Also, I unpublished the old part 5 and am using this one, unfortunately, I need less buraiha trio and fluffiness to get to the main parts later on.
----------
It was no secret that Y/N was rich. To own a whole apartment building (and more...) was not something a normal person could do. Due to certain things she had to do to get where she is, it's a topic rarely brought up. But unfortunately being a woman in business means that people automatically go"Oh you had to sleep with people to get where you are". And no, it's more complicated to her.
With the way her father was and the way she was raised... well... sort of illegal ways to get to the top? Literally eliminating the competition or threatening them. And Y/N always goes through with a threat if needed. And she headed one of the, if not the biggest businesses in the world (ppl idk how business works, but to get the point across. She owns everyone around her and is LOADED. Like richer than Jumin Han rich.)
Well, due to the big company and preferring her employees' happiness over her own caused her to drown in work. She barely slept most of the time but since it's been so long since she'd done this, her body would run fine on about two hours of sleep. Most times, she'd just work from home because she has time to herself with no bother from anyone but there were many times when others needed her or she needed to be places. She forgets her personal life at work because it just doesn't matter. Today was another matter though, she knew Oda worked at the ADA and in all honesty, she didn't care. It wasn't that she didn't care about him, more so that since she works with most organizations whether they're "good" or "bad", she can't have any feelings for the job itself. She didn't particularly like detective stuff, but she knew the people there were amazing people.
She'd need to meet with the mafia as well tonight for dinner. Oda knew just about as much as nothing when it came to her life, he'd never pry either. She wondered whether or not he thought about her or perhaps Yukichi sent him? He fled from the mafia as well, so that could be it. Most people from the mafia are really good liars whether they like it or not. Dazai Osamu was a good definition of what the Port Mafia does.
Dazai was a piece of work. He was annoying, loud, manipulative, and a lot more. But she enjoyed his presence and he enjoyed hers. They had both done horrible things and would continue to do those things. Murder had become easy to the two of them, possibly fun even. It was no lie that the two were feared, even Mori Ougai feared what would happen if one day Dazai, Chuuya, and Y/N decided to team up and take him down. Chuuya was a whole other story, Y/N enjoyed his presence the most. He was a very good friend of hers who she loved with all her heart. They met through Dazai obviously and the two bonded over many things. They both hated themselves, their ability, their jobs, and more. Chuuya could very well just be using Y/N for information and vice-versa but having someone similar to you is just comforting. And that's what they found in each other.
Y/N had connections everywhere and she kept good relationships with them whether or not she wanted to. It's why her and Dazai's friendship was special in a different way than her other relationships. They were both just bad people. It was simple. Both knew and didn't deny it, they were liars indeed but it was obvious. Unlike Y/N, Dazai could often tell the truth. He killed people and when you live in a dark world, killing isn't that bad. Y/N did kill people, probably more so than Dazai, but she also had to do business. It's hard to do these things without lying and due to her being extremely pretty, sly, and just overall intelligent, it's hard not to believe her. In fact, most of her lies are things she could do, but as soon as a contract is signed, anything could happen. And she enjoys tricking old men.
Obviously, she had no feelings for him and she avoided feeling things for others because it made it that much easier to be used. It's a weakness, something she refuses to have. And emotions are optional, so she decided a long time ago that they weren't worth it. Dazai was also very conflicted in that sense. He and Oda were close friends and most people in the mafia who knew Dazai well knew how much Oda meant to him. In the case anything happened to Oda, Dazai would break. It's essentially impossible to break someone like Dazai unless you hurt something precious. It's a thought that came to Y/N's mind a lot. It's the reason she befriended him in the first place.
Now she had to decide what to do in this scenario. Her ties with the Port Mafia were... well close. She knew everyone there and was "friends" with them. She knew everything down to the traitors. She knew about the Hunting Dogs and Tachihara as well. Many things went through her head on the way that the mafia was led. Mori definitely knew who the traitors were, but he had to think of everyone. It's the problem with being the boss. You have to think about the well-being of your company and your people. And unfortunately for most people in this business, the people you need gone are always the ones that will break the strongest. But luckily people are emotional and are often confused in these times. Ango and Tachihara are both good examples of getting too close to the enemy. Oda was with the Armed Detective Agency so Y/N needed to be extremely careful with what she was going to do.

I don't know why this took so long, and this is a pretty boring chapter not gonna lie. This might become multiple characters x reader uhhhh yeah. I'll keep readers on their toes lolol. I like an evil Dazai wayyy too much to pass this up. But haha my Odazai heart will also be like intruding. This is longer than most of my chapters too and I might just make longer chapters from now on. And if you haven't noticed by this chapter, this is gonna be a dark story and there are going to be events that will hurt us all :') But I hope you like it. As usual, I'll try to update more often.
