Rain splattered on the gravel rocks and seeped through the many holes in the roof of the old, run down, three floored apartment. In front of the lobby doors were two teenagers swallowing each other's tongues. A drunk man stumbled passed them, acting as if the used police tape that was crushed into the ground was a balance beam. With her arms across her chest in an 'I told you so' manner, a woman stood waiting on the drunk man, her lips moving a mile a second and her right hip popped out with sass.

Through the echoing pitter pater of the rain and the redundant nagging of the woman, the chorus of children's laughter somehow found it's place. Following the noise would lead you onto the second floor of the apartment, in the back bedroom behind closed doors. An eighteen year old girl laid on a bed on her stomach, her long brown hair splayed around her and her hands full of hards.

"Hey Aki, Draw 7 and I pick...red," the girl said with a mischievous smirk as she laid her card on top of the growing stack next to a deck of cards that were facing downwards. Next to her a boy a few years younger than her sat. His facial features scrunched up in aggravation as one of his hands scratched the back of his spiked blond haired head.

"Aw come on!," Aki yelled in exasperation. He remove a hand from his set of card and reached over to the downwards facing deck of cards sitting on the edge of the bed. He drew seven cards before he groaned, drawing even more cards. "Come on I need a red. I already have like 20 blues are you freakin kidding me?!? Why do you hate me Siren?"

Laughter drew the older girls glaze to the floor by the bed. There sat two girls sitting on the floor. one a lot older than the other. The older girl that had straight brown hair brushing her shoulder was sitting cross-legged, her deck of cards set on the floor facing the ground. The younger girl sat on her knees so she was able to see on top of the bed. Her black hair stopped about mid-back, held out of her face by a white headband. Her cards lay next to her, facing the roof as she trusted her siblings not to look at them and cheat. That being said, all the siblings peaked at her cards every now and then, the eighteen year old girl and the girl next to her to beat her, the boy to help her win.

"Yui, you should really turn your cards around," Aki pointed out. The black haired girl looked up at him with sparkling blue eyes and a pout.

"And You need to stop looking at my cards. There's no way you would have known that if you didn't look," Yui lectured him in a scolding tone. The girl on the bed burst out in laughter as the boy looked at his youngest sibling sheepishly.

"You got tolddddd," the older girl managed to say through her laughter as she punched Aki in the arm teasingly. The boy restrained a smile in order to glare his older sister.

"Oh shut up Siren," he muttered, rubbing his arm. This drew a snicker from the brown headed girl sitting on the floor. "Oh not you to Meagan!!" He tried to restrain his laughter, but Yui started to giggle cutely. Soon, the everyone in the room was rolling around laughing, clutching their stomachs.
