"You're a little charmer, aren't you?"

That's what I ask him when we are looking through movies in the Target section. Alex has still yet to show up.

He looks over at me, perplexed.

"What do you mean?" He asks me.

"Like all those lines you use," I say bashfully with a small smile on my face.

Throughout the hour or so I knew him, I could already classify him as a Danny Parker type, which was sort of a let down. He's one of those appearingly charmismatic guys who seemingly likes you, flirting with you for a passtime rather than actual interest in you. I can tell by the cheesy lines (and the fact that he's a world superstar). There's a reason he's had so many girlfriends.

"What?" he asks, scrunching his eyebrows.

"I was checking you out too," I mock, deepening my voice a little to immulate his.

He laughs a little, his face flushed a litlte.

"Come on, I worked hard on that one!" he defends playfully.

"I'm sure you did," I mutter under my breath.

"Margot," he says, grabbing my hand and tugging on it, making me look up at him. He smiles a little.

"Stop doing that!" I exclaim, snatching my hand from his.

"Stop doing what?" He asks, a knowing but playful smile on his face.

"You know exactly what you're doing! Actually, bet you do it all the time. You give girls that..." I start to get lost in his smile when I force myself to continue "...that look and expect them to fall for you. Like all those cheesy lines. They're not working so just stop."

He looks taken aback and he pauses a few seconds before he says something.

"Sorry," he says, looking back at the movies and going through them.

"Look, I just want to have a guy that can be my friend without flirting with me and making me think that he likes me, when he doesn't," I say with a huff.

I've had one too many experiences with that.

"Okay, let's act like I didn't get mad at you," I say quickly as I start to flip through the movies once again.

He starts to laugh at me once again and looks at me incredulously.

"What happened to that sister of yours? She hasn't shown up yet and it's 7:30," he asked, looking at his phone to see the time before putting it back in his back pocket.

I didn't realize that it had gotten so late. I pull out my phone to find a text from my sister.

"Hey, just get a friend of yours to give you a lift. Hunter invited me and a bunch of our friends to go to his house and get in his hot tub. Told mom you had to work a later shift," reads the text.

I sigh as I ruffle my hair as I ponder what to do. I can't ask Justin Timberlake to give me a ride home.

"What's wrong?" he asks, seeming genuinely concerned.

"I don't exactly have a ride home anymore," I say slowly, biting my lip nervously.

"Aw, man, looks like you're on your own," he sighs, putting his hands in his back pockets.

I roll my eyes at him and shake my head as he smiles.

"No, I'll drive you," he insists.

My parents will not like that, although I can't tell him that.

"My parents would kill me," I tell him.

He chuckles and rolls his eyes.

"Cause I'm a man?" he jokes. "On the prowl for young girls."

"Pretty much," I giggle.

"I'll drop you off and you can say it's one of your teenage girl friends. I promise I won't rape you," he says, holding out his pinky.

I hesitate before wraping mine around his.

"Fine."
