My name is Julia. When I was nine I was taken from my family and friends by french men, along with my chief and eight other people from my village. The man that took us was named Jacques Cartier. He wanted us to stand in front of his king and testify of cities full of gold. After we sailed to France we did just that. Jaques had promised he would take us back to our home. After we testified our chief was treated fairly well while the rest of us were forced to be servants in the castle. One day our chief became very ill and eventually he died. After the chief died Jaques did sail back to our home but he had forgotten about us so we were left in france. While Jaques was gone an illness swept through the castle. It killed most of the people that had come with me. There was only me and a woman that had cared for me like a mother would. She was very sick.

Eventually she also died. Making me the last Huron in France. After a few years of serving the king I was allowed to leave the palace and no longer be a servant. I lived on the streets for about a year before I was able to find a job. I was a Museum guide at the Louvre.

I worked that job for a couple years before I met a man named James. He was part of a rich family. They owned a company named BNP parabas. We became best friends and he got me a job at his family company. I worked there for many years before marrying James. We had three children named Peter, Sirius, and Remus. I know they are unusual names but we liked them so we used them. WE were a happy family. Eventually I built a shelter for the homeless. I also convinced James to give homeless people jobs so that they could get back on their feet. I never saw my family, friends, or home again and i miss them all but life here is good too, and if i ever get the chance to visit my home i will but for now i am content.
