Ch.1 A wizard named Frion

"Hey Lucy, what are you reading?"

Lucy looks up as she hears Gray

"Some diary I found in the library" she replied

Gray looked at the book and his face darkened

"What's wrong?"

"I knew the guy who owned that, he was a wizard here"

"Was? What happened?"

"He died on a mission, his specialty was a type of book magic, so his last spell was the weighting of this diary"

"How well did you know him?"

"He was here before me, Nastu, and Erza. We knew him for a long time"

"I'm so sorry..."

"Keep reading, we all have, although Nastu had it read to him..."

Lucy smiled and turned back to the book. Gray left the room.

Several days later Makarov looked for me all over the place and found me in the library

"What are you doing in here?"

"Reading"I said still looking at the book

"You like books?"

I looked up "Yeah, the way authors create there own worlds with just there minds is amazing"

"Smart kid you are Frion" he replied

"Hey Makarov" I asked shyly

"What is it?" he replied

"Do you think there's a type of book magic I can learn?"

"Maybe, you would have to study up and perfect it on your own" he replied thoughtfully

"Then that's exactly what I'll do" I said smiling

"Good luck" he said as he left

I stuffed my face into a new book, studying.

It was two weeks later that I had a breakthrough. I sat there with stacks of books around, when I had an idea.

I took a piece of paper and put a rune on it, I thought for a second, and wrote

*a cake in front of me*

An explosion and I blacked out.

I woke up in a bed next to a laughing Makarov.

"Kid, you have no idea how surprised I was when I found you"

"What happened?" I said looking around

"Your little experiment worked, just not in the way you hoped. It just caused an explosion"

"Why would it do that?!"

"I don't know Frion but it shows you're getting somewhere"

I smile"then I'll keep trying and studying until I get it right"

"If you do, please try to limit explosions, we don't need to bring the building down"
