"Yea I was pissed, dude fully committed and used the hard "R" N words on me" Connie exclaimed "And even worse" He turned towards Armin "IM SO VERY OBVIOUSLY PASTY" Connie aggressively rolled up the sleeves of his white uniform and began obsessively pointing at his skin color "SURE I'M BALD BUT C'MON MAN, CALL ME A MARSHMALLOW, OR POTATOE, OR SOMETHING AT LEAST". Armin, only slightly amused, sat there, scrolling through his phone, not even phased that Connie was more upset at being called the wrong racial slur vs literally being thrown up for the third time that night.

"Well hey, look, at least it's not a Tue-" Connie was cut off by the distinct sound of their radio's tone sounding off

"Truck 8, Rescue 7, Battalion 2, Medic 114, respond emergent to a shooting, West Ash road and Springs street. One patient, scene secure by PD, respond METCOM-1, 21:17" Connie let out a sigh and immediately picked up the rig's mobile radio and got ready to transmit.

"Dispatch show Truck 8, responding code 3"

"Batt 2, enroute, emergent"

"Rescue 7, responding emergent, enroute" Connie looked over at Armin,

"Of course it's on springs" He rolled his eyes and depressed the push to talk on the handheld mic "Medic 114 responding code 3" Armin flipped on the sirens and began to drive their rig out of the Denny's parking lot. "Wanna call it into our dispatch?" Connie said after putting the radio back on the magnetic stand.

"Sure, Ymir still mad at ya?" Armin depressed the PTT of his portable radio mic on his chest "114 to dispatch" a moment of awkward silence fell through the bus.

"Send traffic 114" Ymir, the ems tac-2 dispatcher responded

"Dispatch show 114 attached to the shooting on Springs and West Ash, eta; 6 mikes"

"Hard Copy 114, showing you enroute to the shooting on Springs n Ash with an eta 6 mikes, 23:17"

"She must not be that pissed at us if she attached us to a shooting" Connie shrugged his shoulders, "She definitely started it, five IFTs in a row? You kn-" They came to an intersection "You're clear right" Armin took the turn, "You know she's just mad Krista is oblivious to her crush."

"I mean fair, but you did kin- IS THIS MEAT HEAD SLOWING DOW- ope, nevermind, he finally pulled over." Armin looked to the mounted computer, "5 out, anywho, anyhows, anyways, I totally feel like you and Sasha took it to the next step by spiking her coffee"

"Sure but like, you gonna tell me she didn't deserve it though?" Connie started putting on his gloves.

"I didn't say that now" They took their turn down spring street to find an escalade of lights and sirens, a normal scene for the city of Ash on a friday night. "Hey you think we're actually good or should we stage?" As they approached the hair on the back of Armin's neck stiffened. Swiftly the ambulance crew's mood changed to a deep concentrated focus.

"I think we're good, I'm pretty sure I heard Annie get dispatched too, swing the bus around so we can cover the patient, I bet if something comes it'll be from the east side" Connie looked over to Armin noticing a slight smile at hearing Annie's name, however all his usual tells of discomfort, unfortunately the feeling was mutual, "You too?"

"Yeah, head on a swivel" Armin slowed his breathing, made sure his tongue was off of the roof of his mouth and ensured to take into account all his surroundings. There were three squad cars blocking off the west end of the street and two blocking the east. There were two officers posted at the east end with long guns and another two at the west, the street seemed more secure than APD's usual getup.

"Gotca" Connie replied in a hushed tone. As they came closer into view they could see the patient, a middle aged hispanic man laid on the ground face first in the center of the police blockade. "Alright, swing her pointing towards the north side, put us in between the eastern block of cops and homeboy." Without question Armin did exactly that and swung the bus in a manner that gave cover to the patient from the east end, Armin parked the bus but kept it running, "Good?" Connie looked to his partner.
