Almost a year

I cant sleep

Mark sighed and pit the pen down beside the paper that he was writing on.
It was two am and he can't sleep.
He was thinking about his deceased best friend. Feeling guilty for all the times he couldn't be there for him, he couldn't stop thinking about him.

Why did donghyuck never told mark anything and kept it all to himself? Mark felt more guilty. He always opened up to donghyuck about everything, his problems, his life, relationships. And the fact that donghyuck was going through something without him knowing and having to listen to all his problems made him feel more guiltier than ever.

Mark sighed for the tenth time that day and stood up. He opened the window and quietly climbed down.
Once he got down, he ran as fast as he could.

Where was he going? You'll see

After what felt like hours of running, mark finally got to his destination.

He was in a forest.

A beautiful one

There was a little house made out of woods and torn clothes near the river.
He went down near the river and went in the little house. It was his and his sunshines hangout place

They go there everytime they needed some fresh air

The sound of the river was very calming to listen to

The air is fresh to breathe in

It was just him and his bestfriend

But now, it's just him and nature

Mark sat down on the ground which was covered by a picnic blanket.
He brought his knees to his chest and hugged it.

Right now he was free

From his father

From his friends

From school

From everything

But his bestfriend

He couldn't stop thinking of the things he could've done to make him stay. Maybe, just maybe, if he did something more for him, maybe he would be here sitting with his bestfriend and cuddling together.

He just wants to stop feeling this pain and guilt in his heart. But he wants to punish himself for not being there for his bestfriend and not doing enough

Mark looked outside and stared at the beautiful dark sky and sighed again.

"I'm sorry hyuck"
