Shelby Sister imagine to the song primadonna by MARINA where her brothers set her up undercover.

——–

Your family had its humble beginnings. The moment your mother and equally careless father left you to your own aunt Polly and half siblings, they took you in a heartbeat. Having a different eye color unlike your siblings made you a victim of constant teasing and insults about you even being blood related to them. But your brothers were always there to beat or cut people back for you.

You've witnessed firsthand the struggles your brothers and aunt had to go through, the foes they had to take down in order to take you, Ada, and Finn to the top with them.

Despite being close with your sister and youngest brother, one trait set you apart from them – you were too much like Tommy.

The moment you turned eighteen, your declaration to officially help with the business almost gave your siblings a heart attack except Tommy and Polly who have already trained you the simple things months beforehand.

But Tommy saw more potential in you. You were one among – if not – the most sought-after faces in Birmingham. Your eye color – the previous subject of all insults towards you, became the company's best asset. Strangers would never associate you as being a Shelby yourself, and you took full advantage of that. The secrets, confidential information, and weaknesses your family wanted from potential threats to business were often left as your responsibility to uncover. You were adored and you'd be lying if you say you didn't love it.

You were currently clung on another clueless bloke's arm, avoiding the stares other men gave your way, as he guided you in the party. On usual occasions, you would've already been playing around with the men who'd approach you. But the man you currently have wrapped around your finger is the son of the man your family is trying to blackmail into handing over shares. Unlike your usual missions, this one was the most frustrating.

Your past preys were at least somehow attractive to you. But this one, he was very reserved to the information you wanted at first, and not at all in your definition of attractive to the very least. This mission was only expected to last three days, but this one has already been going on for almost a month, and it was only this morning that he finally disclosed what you needed. One factor you were too thankful for was that sleeping was off the table, as his family was very religious.

But despite that, you still needed to find the perfect time to officially 'break up' the shit you started. Polly had told you that instead of suddenly disappearing and possibly starting an unwanted investigation about your real identity, it was better to end them like it was over something over rational but should always be someone else's fault.

Scanning around the party, you saw your family and some of your employees around. Catching John's eye, you glared as he was unsubtly yet silently laughing at you. He tapped your Eldest brother Arthur's shoulder and whispered something to him, probably about you, when he also turned around, took a quick glance at your direction, and joined John's snickers.

You intentionally stirred you and your date's direction to pass by them. Seeing you coming close, they both straightened up and acted preoccupied by something else. Finally walking by exactly John's side, you decided to step on his foot earning a satisfying muffled cry from him as you passed.

The party was coming into a full swing. Looking around for your other brother, you spotted him by the bar.

"Darling, I'll head to the bar for some refreshments." You told your date, running your hand up and down his arm. Thankfully some friends of his were approaching to talk so he couldn't go with you.

Slowly walking towards your brother, you huffed when you took a seat beside him. Looking straight forward to not cause any unwanted attention, Thomas was the first to speak.

"It's a party, angel, not your wedding to that man. At least look happy to be in his company."

"I'm sick of that man calling me a love muffin." You replied, making your brother chuckle.

"You need to act faster Y/N. Some of my men reported seeing him enter a jewelry shop yesterday." Thomas warned.

"All I ever want is the world, Tom. Not a fucking pet." You answered.

"You want a faster solution?" He smirked. Thomas was handed the file from you that morning so he knew you were only at the last step of your mission.

"Well, duh, Tom." You muttered, taking a sip from your drink.

"Isiah's here." Chuckling, you knew what your brother was insinuating.

"You can count on me to misbehave, brother." You smiled. Finishing up the rest of your drink, you put the glass down and fixed your appearance.

Making your way through the crowd, you saw Isiah leaning on by the corner, hands crossed and already smirking at you. Tommy had already told him beforehand that his services might be of need for you that night.

"So, what is it this time, princess... Angry fiancé, an old flame, just hooked up with, or the good ol telling him you have the clap?" He asked laid-back.

"Hmm..." you thought, figuring out the most suitable act. Unfortunately for you, your date was already near you and was glaring at Isiah.

"Stop bothering the lady and find your own date, peaky scum." He spat at your friend, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and taking you away before you could even make sense of what just happened.

"H-how did you know he was one of those Peaky blinders, sweetie?" You asked, masking the nervousness in your voice.

"I saw him at one of the meetings before. Those people are no good, love muffin, you'll be safer with me." You resisted the urge to roll your eyed and jab at his chest.

"A meeting?" You acted surprised. "Why were you on a meeting with them?" you whispered.

"They're trying to close a deal. My father's not too keen on them though." He shrugged. "Enough about them. Can I talk to you in private?" He cooed.

He was leading you by the balcony. Shooting Tommy a look that screamed 'get the fuck over here', it was his turn to roll his eyes and get up from the bar to stride your way.

Slowly closing the two big windows on the balcony, you already knew what would greet you once you were to turn around. The reflection of the man kneeling down behind didn't look too pretty.

"Love muffin..." He called you. And sure enough, when you turned around, he was already on one knee with a box on hand.

The big diamond that was sitting in the box was the only pretty thing.

"... you are like the beauty queen on the silver screen. I know sometimes you can be difficult, but that's how I love you. Will-" His speech was cut off with the windows opening abruptly.

"Mr. Watson wait!" Thomas barged in. Your date stood up with a scowl on his face.

"Mr. Shelby, I do not appreciate getting interrupted." He glared at your brother.

"I know, I know. But this lady..." He gestured to you. "I run backgrounds at everyone I associate business with. You won't like what the file that I have on this lady will reveal."

And as if on cue, you started crying, holding unto his arms telling him not to listen to whatever this Shelby mas was going to say.

"She's a whore from Camden who ran away when she got the clap." Thomas revealed.

At his revelation, the bloke let go of you immediately.

"You- you said you were pure like me!" He accused, a disgusted expression on his face.

"I- please... I love you." You begged him, only to be walked out on.

When both of you were sure that he's away, you composed yourself and smirked at your brother.

"What do I get this time, boss?" You crossed your arms together. Every mission was a guarantee of a reward from your brother.

"For a month of dedication, the waterworks you just did, and for stepping on John, whatever you want, angel."
