Young love never dies, first love last forever. How I wish those two sentences weren't true but they are. They consume me.
Like multiple Shakespearean works, my love story ended in a tragedy.
Nothing hurts like not having forever with the one you’re destined to love. Maybe if I knew that when we met, sometimes I tell myself but the thought is always cut short.
It's better to have loved and lost than not loved at all. Something else Shakespear got right.
Her name was Amity Saunders. My love. My destiny. My detriment, she broke me because that’s what broken things do, break others. If I knew that when we met Amity would be the ruin of me, I would love her still.
Amity was just that peace, love, always inciting harmony and growing friendships. She was the most beautiful person I’d ever seen and we were only eleven when she taught me how to love. How to feel then how to break.
