He sat on the withered couch, a squeak disrupting the soft silence around him. The dim light hugging him, comforting him. He liked it when he was alone. He liked it when it was just him. He liked when there was nothing there to distract him. It never mattered what anyone thought. Where anyone was. Who anyone was. It was just him. Sapnap.

He preferred the darkness, it made him feel safe, welcomed, and warm. Something no one could do for him.
He needed some guidance, some acceptance. Something he knew no one could give. Once again.

Karl changed how he thought. In multiple ways, different ways, unfamiliar ways. Ways that would make Sapnap feel something he has never felt. Love.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Sapnap's old lover was the only thing he lived for, the only the he cared for, and the only thing he felt for. He loved when he was with them. He loved the way they made him feel. But it was all just a mask. All just a fluke. He knew that it was too good to be true. He knew one day it'll all end. It'll all just repeat from square one. He never thought anything else would end up replacing the love he felt in the past
Or that anyone would replace the pain from the present. He decided to just stay low and not get his hopes up.

So he found comfort in the darkness. Nyctophilia.
-a preference for the night and the darkness-

Sapnap sat in the warm room, the small candle being the only light in the room. There was no one with him. He was alone. There isn't any difference from any other day. Unexpectedly there was another presence around him, the jingle of keys and voices soon approaching him. He stood up and collected all of his belongings and tried to exit the room. He stiffened as his body was met with another, he was slightly taller than Sapnap, tho. Sapnap looked up and rubbed at his temple for a moment, he stared at the attractive man above him in awe. He was stunned, brunette hair that looks oh so soft. Grey eyes glistened, and his big smile wrapping it all up. He looked so.. charming.. enchanting. Them that was it, he heard a soft giggle, something that could make him melt.. oh so easily.
"oh my, I-I'm so sorry" Sapnap stuttered out.
Another giggle "it's fine!" He smiled softly. " My name's Karl, what about you?"
"O-oh uh- My name's Sapnap." He could hear chuckles from all around him and he flushed a soft red in embarrassment.
"Hey hey it's okay no need to be shy" he said softly.
"Guys, shut up you're ruining my chances with such a cute boy" Chuckles turned into laughter and Sapnap soon became flustered. "U-uhm yeah- I think I have somewhere to be now.." he quickly walked off and gave Karl a soft smile and waved bye.

"Honk you all." Karl said
"What, you're a total SIMP!" A boy, a lot shorter than him said.
"Quackity shut the hell up, let him be in love" A voice came from the side of Quackity, slightly shocking him.
"George shut up" Karl responded flustered.
"He was cute, so I had too."
"OooOo~ We have to tell the group chat!" Dream exclaimed.
"Yeah Yeah let's go now you nimrods" Karl quickly responded.
'Shit I forgot to get his number'

———————————————————————————
Dream laid his head on George's stomach, soft sighs escaping his lips.
"Hey don't we have a new roommate today?" Dream announced.
"Mmm yeah" Quackity replied looking up from his phone.
"Hey what if its that Sapnap dude" George said smirking.
"Hm, maybe a chance for me to get his number, I mean just incase" Karl chuckled
Everyone started laughing around him. He felt his smile growing larger and he started laughing with him.
Well, we just have to wait now.
