Running circles around the track for the charity or whatever the hell it is we're doing. Maddie runs next to me, gasping for air as she drenches herself in her water. Trying not to laugh, I keep my eyes trained forward, feeling my shorts ride up my thighs as sweat drips down my neck. Swiping at the my forehead, I finally reach the court where I take a break. Maddie falls to her knees, sucking in rough breathes.

"Do you want me to get you more water?" I ask her, chuckling lighty. She nods like theres no tomorrow, practically throwing her water bottle at me. I roll my eyes and turn to walk to the locker room when I see him. My eyes go wide as I see his shirt sticking to his chest, his muscles glistening from sweat as he chugs water. My eyes peel from him when I see Aaliyah, she trots over and wraps her arms around me, lifting me up making me wiggle out of her slippery grip.

"Y/n! I haven't seen you in forever, how are you?" She asks, smiling from ear to ear.

"I'm great, how are you?" My eyes bounce over to Shawn who's finally noticed me, his eyes wide and his mouth slightly open.

"I'm pretty good, I finally got an internship..." She goes on and it's almost hard to focus on her, that's when she looks over her shoulder and calls him to come, "y/n, this is my brother Shawn," I smile at him and he continues to stare.

"Hey," He finally says something, I stop my laughter.

"Hey," I repeat back, I clear my throat and look back at Aaliyah.

"So, I gotta run," She wiggles her eyebrows as I look over my shoulder, seeing her boyfriend waiting for her with his arm stretched out. She fist bumps Shawn before heading off to her boy toy, I dont even know his name. Looking back at Shawn, his cheeks are red, I cant tell whether it's from the heat or embarrassment. Maddie still pants on the floor on all fours, I put my hands on my hips and wait for Shawn to say something.

"Whyd you leave so quickly?" He asks, crossing his arms making his biceps bulge.

"From what?" I ask, playing stupid and he notices, tilting his head.

"You know from what Y/n," I sigh and begin walking past him, he follows.

"Because I was tired," I shrug, in all honesty, I was tired.

"Oh," He says in disappointment making me laugh.

"is that not the answer you wanted to hear, Shawn?" I ask him, he shrugs and shakes his head. I smile in amusement.

"Just not the answer I expected," He scratches the back of his neck, I look over as we reach the locker room.

"You can wait here, I'll be back," I tell him before turning to walk into the room but he follows making me thrilled.

"I'll just go with you," He replies in a, -so what-, tone, I shrug as I move towards the fountain, filling up Maddie and I's bottle.

"I didnt know you went here," I tell him, his eyebrows raise.

"Seriously?" He looks upset.

"I thought you were in like college," I recently found out hes a senior, he nods.

"That makes more sense," He lightly chuckles before the room goes quiet, I feel his eyes on me.

"Hey I just w-" I feel his hand on my arm, I look over as he presses his lips on my own. Chills run over my back, almost melting into the kiss. Grabbing the water bottle to my chest, closing it as he pulls me closer by my waist. His finger hooks my chin down and slips his tongue in, guessing it's his signature move.
