Lily couldn't hold on anymore. She wanted to die. Her life was full of bad memories. Abuse. Heartbreak. Deaths. These were the only things she could remember. As she stood next to the railing, her brunette hair flew everywhere, and her blue eyes scanned the environment below her. No one would notice if she died. No one cares. Ryan Grey ruined her life. He bullied her and humiliated her everywhere she went. He treated everyone nicely except her. His name was venom inside her head. He was the reason everyone hated her. She took off her shoes and stood on the railing. She looked below her and smiled. Her misery was finally ending. She tried remembering any good memories for peace before dying but nothing came out. Her life was empty and sad. Lily finally jumped. She closed her eyes waiting for the impact, but nothing came. She opened her eyes to find someone holding her hand. This person happened to be the person she hated the most, Ryan Grey. His green orbs filled with concern. Lily looked at him and tried to grasp her hands away from him. She kept squirming but nothing worked. Ryan brought her up, sat her down, and held her by the shoulders. Lily lost more of her sanity as each second passed. "How dare he give me those pitying eyes! He is the reason for it all!" These were her thoughts. Lily tried standing up, but Ryan held onto her and didn't leave her. She suddenly snapped with tears filling her eyes and said, "How dare you try to save me! You were the reason for my misery. I want to die because of you. All you gave me was torture, bullying and you ruined my life. You made fun of me for being an orphan. You made the popular girls hit me in the bathroom. Do you know how many bruises I have because of them?! You are the reason I cut, so please go away! Just let me die!" By the end of her screaming, Ryan was in tears. It was quiet for a few seconds before Ryan spoke up and said, "Do you know anything?! Do you know the reason I bullied you? No, you don't! It's because I LIKE YOU! I tried hiding it. The first time I met you, you gave me this feeling that no one ever gave me. I was scared. I was 14 back then. I didn't know what this was. I bullied you because I thought this would go away. Turns out I was wrong. Every time I see you, I still get this weird feeling." Lily was surprised by his sudden confession. She didn't know what to do. She did like him because he was usually kind to everyone around her and was smart. He was also handsome, but she could never forget what he did to her. She realized that everyone has a different way to express their love in different ways. She couldn't fully trust him though. It was silent for a few minutes. Suddenly, Lily said, "Fine! I may sound naïve right now, but I am giving you a chance to prove that you like me." Twenty years later, Ryan and Lily are happily married with 2 kids. Love is indeed strange, but cute in some way.
