"The moon is lost,
The moon is eclipsed,
The moon is tainted,
I argued.
So is the human heart,
She said."

Yume Izuzuma thought today was just another day. Another disappointment, another day of her life slowly becoming more and more predictable. She never in her life thought things would get as bad as they had become. Today was the day she was officially alone in the world. Her last hope and only person who stood by her side was leaving.
Today was the day of her cousins wedding. She was marrying the enemy, literally.

Yume was training to become a hero at UA academy. She had gotten through her first year and was excited to become a hero someday. Her dreams came crashing down when an "ex" villain was elected as prime minister. He banned use of all quirks by heroes and villains alike. The whole thing made Yume sick. Just when she thought she could escape her terrible life and do something meaningful, it all slipped through her fingers.

It has been 5 years since the law was made official. Recently they've added insult to injury. They have come up with a new solution to ban quirks forever, a vaccine. It was a quirk suppressing vaccine. It didn't permanently remove a quirk but it suppressed it for 2 years and when that was up you would get another to continue living a "normal" life. Plenty of people were lined up waiting for the first dose. The media had painted a picture of quirks being the reason crime existed. It was all a facade to distract everyone from the real villains. Regular people and heroes getting the vaccine, but no sign of the villains lining up to become "normal".

Yume sat at a table in the corner with a permanent frown. Why did they even invite me? She thought to herself. All around her were happy faces and people having a great time. The only thing that could've numbed her pain was alcohol but of course this wedding was dry. Yume sighed and got up out of her chair slowly. I think I saw a bar inside the hotel. Yume tried to quietly slip out an exit without being seen. Not that anybody would notice she was gone. She was ruining the happiness anyway.

Outside the air was crisp and the moon was shining bright. Yume made her way inside the hotel and found the bar. Inside was a small restaurant with an even smaller bar. It didn't look like anybody was there besides the bartender. Perfect. Yume was delighted, she could now escape. She sat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine. While she waited she contemplated how the rest of her night would go. Maybe I should just leave? It sounded like a good plan but she didn't drive here. She'd either have to walk or find a ride.

Yume sat at the bar with her head hung and feeling sorry for herself. She felt tears and tried her best to hide them. How stupid! I can't cry here like a baby what's wrong with me? Yume was great at bottling up her emotions. She hated to feel vulnerable. She wanted to always be strong, but sometimes it was tough. She needed a plan. Her only family was moving on with her life and now she had to figure out what to do. Yume lost in her pity party didn't notice a man sit down at the bar with her.

"Hey Akio, get me a cold one!"
The man said with relief. It was finally the end of his shift. He had worked hard making the sure the wedding was going smoothly with no problems. Weddings were always tough, the boss never stops yelling at them. Bakugo had finally found a happy medium, if you could call it that. He still hated how boring life has gotten but he could at least try to make the best of it. He was trying to control his anger. The therapist he was seeing helped a bit, but some days he couldn't help but be pissed off at the world. He was going to be the best and strongest hero the world had seen. He was striving for greatness. Now he was an assistant manager at a hotel.
