I've never written a fanfic so bear with me and expect slow updates I guess. I don't expect people to read this so yeah.

All rights to Jk Rowling for the characters

Regulus-
Walking through platform 9 3/4 with my brother I was just hoping to avoid all people and get on the train but of course that's impossible with Sirius as a brother so I had barely made it ten steps away from my parents before Sirius suddenly sprinted off yelling "Moony!"

Just as I was starting to get hopeful that Sirius wouldn't bother me anymore I heard a distant yell of "Reg!" I thought it would have been Sirius but it oddly wasn't so I ignored it assuming I had imagined it and continued walking.

I walked a few more steps before I was knocked over by a body slamming into my back causing the person to fall on top of me, I groaned in pain.

The person who I had yet to identify began apologizing profusely. I was getting annoyed now, saying "will you just get off."

The person quickly scrambled to their feet and I turned around to see them offering me a hand. I took it standing up with their help still avoiding looking at the person.

"Are you alright?" They asked "I really didn't mean to run into you."

"I'm fine." I responded coldly

Finally I looked up to see who had been stupid enough to run into me but when I saw James Potter I was slightly taken aback, he looked different from the year before. obviously having matured, his jawline was more defined and his hair seemed to be even messier than ever before. I couldn't figure out why but I was suddenly quite flustered.

"I was trying to get your attention but you wouldn't turn around" James said.

Why would James Potter want his attention? Regulus thought to himself but before he could say anything the older boy continued.

"I just wanted to know if you knew where Sirius went."

Oh, that made a lot of sense, but for some reason Regulus was slightly upset by that answer, almost like he had hoped James Potter wanted his attention to talk to him, but why would he want that? He hates Potter. Doesn't he?

"Oh, um yeah, uhh-"

"You okay? You seem a bit flustered." James smirked.

"I'm not flustered!" Regulus responded quickly. The tips of his ears beginning to heat up causing a faint blush to spread across his face.

"Okay..sure..." James responded sarcastically. "Anyways, you didn't answer my question. "Have you seen Sirius?"

"No, I don't know where he went." Regulus responded after a second, he couldn't figure out why he was acting so weird around James Potter. It had always been easy to be cold towards him before, why was it suddenly so... difficult.

"Oh, well that's a shame, guess I'll just go look then. See you Reg!"

Regulus hadn't even registered the words only paying attention to the deep thoughts in his head and the ground but when he looked up James was already off looking for Sirius.

So Regulus shrugged it off and continued walking to the train sitting down in an empty compartment, once inside he relaxed slightly.

This was an odd start to his fourth year.
