Sister of Love

Chapter 2

After Twilight and Cadence finished packing everythingthey would need for their long journey beyond Equestria's neighboring tribes homes they said their goodbyes and headed off towards what they didn't know was their original home. Once they had actually started their journey yhehad to go through the Dragon Lands just to even find the right path towards their mission.

Once they were through the dragon lands they both gasped at how beautiful the land was, but most of all who inhabited this untouched land, it was filled with Alicorns of all shapes, sizes, and colors. "How is this possible Cadence?" Asked Twilight with wide eyes. "I'm not sure, something like this shouldn't be possible." She said while staring at all the alicorns in complete and total shock. Once they got over the shock of seeing so many Alicorns they started down a road that led into a dark and mysterious area that was labeled 'Death Spire Path'. Twilight studied the path ahead and noticed large crystals that were big enough to be spires but she didn't understand the Death part of the name.

"What do you think, should we venture forward or ask around to see what the deal is?" Asked Twilight. "Let's first see what happens and if necessary we'll ask these Alicorns, but I don't trust them, I'm not getting the actual Alicorn energy presence I get when I'm with You, Luna, or Celestia from them so I don't think they are true Alicorns at all." She said eyeing one that unlike the others who was banging his horn against a large rock as if he was trying to break it. Twilight was confused as to why he was trying to break his horn and walked over to him. "Uhm, excuse me, but why are you banging your horn against that Boulder?" She asked confused. "I'm trying to break it off, not like any of you actually care, wait I don't recognize you two, did Midnight Sombra bring more fake Alicorns here?" He asked annoyed. "Actually we are true Alicorns from Equestria, we've been sent here on a mission that leads to some weird castle surrounded by crystals." Said Cadence.

When the blue Alicorn heard they were true alicorns he bowed down in respect. "Uhm I wouldn't recommend going there, that place is a death trap for Alicorns, the last one that went there was never seen again, we know she's still alive because Midnight Sombra is using her magic to transform every pony into a fake Alicorn, and once a month he comes and drains all our magic preparing a spell that takes years worth of magic to create, that's why I'm trying to break my horn, that way he can't drain me." Said the Alicorn. "I'm Twilight, this is Cadence, what's your name?" Asked Twilight. "My name is Brightstar, and I guess if you can help me break my horn, I'll lead you to Midnight Castle." Said Brightstar. "Very well, if you are absolutely sure of this." Said Twilight and she prepared a spell that would break his horn off for him. "I am, I don't want my horn, I used to be a Pegasus so I don't want magic at all." He said moving his horn where she could break it. Twilight sighed and casted the spell and broke his horn.

Once it was done all three of them started walked through Death Spire Path. "So why is this called Death Spire Path?" Asked Cadence. "Oh, that, Midnight Sombra cursed the crystals so if someone touches them they die immediately and become a crystal themselves." Said Brightstar. "That's awful, once we save this place we will return the crystals to their pony form and bring them back to life." Said Twilight.
