Hey! Howaya? I go by Oz, hell, we're best friends now. This is my first book, and I'll be converting the widely popular "It's mine" webtoon into a story. Only the descriptions are mine; plot, art and a lot of dialogue all belong to LuckS. Go check the webtoon out if you're curious and remember to give it a like, link's in my bio!

Black curls as dark as a raven's feathers framed the scarlet-eyed boy's face as he tapped one pen on the half scribbled-on sheet. Many, many people came to this cafe to work, chill out with their friends, or flirt with the cute new waitress (who always rejected them), but Yohan Do came here for another reason.

Fat raindrops dotted the window he gazed out of with half-lidded, almost bored eyes. Across the street in a convenience store, a brunette with a pixy cut and lively, kind eyes was gesturing to an unreasonable customer. Otherwise known as the girl he had his eyes on. Dajeong Lee. He could see her best from this cafe.

As usual, she was working part-time at that store.

Yohan glanced around before setting his gaze back on her blurry form through the misted window. There weren't many customers around today. It's raining a lot, he thought.

Does she have an umbrella...?

She looks like she's pretty sleepy. Maybe she had a rough night?

He watched as a chastising finger wagged in her direction and she put her hands up, mouth open in profuse apologies he couldn't hear.

It's that annoying customer again.

Her head tilted up, pointing at the canned drinks on the shelves and counting them off one by one.

She looks bored...

He rested his head in his broad palm, a huff escaping his lips.

...jeez. This makes me feel like a stalker.

The rain was coming down heavily now, almost blocking all the view he had of her through the thick sheet of drops falling from the heavens.

How can I... approach her naturally?

How can I...

...get closer to you...?

He quickly finished up his homework and headed out of the cafe, leaning against the glass window of the convenience store, waiting. She should be done with her shift in about five minutes. The store door skidded open, making his head shoot up. It was Dajeong! Now that he could see her up close, he quickly took note that she was donning a dark-blue navy jacket and heavy purple vest.

The deafening sound of the rain hitting against the pavement roared in his ears.

She doesn't have an umbrella, right? This is my chance...!

A slight blush bloomed on his cheeks as he took a step forward, grip tightening around his own umbrella. Just as he was about to open his mouth, she opened her pink umbrella in front of her with a swoosh and walked away, shoes squeaking against the wet pavement. His shoulders hunched and he looked back down at the ground.

Today's not the day.

The sky was gloomy and grey too, as if saying I know how you feel.

But Yohan still had to make sure she got home safe.

He followed slowly behind her, eyeing her figure carefully. Her bright, flowery umbrella stood out against the sea of grey ones, which he thanked the good heavens for. He followed her as she bought a cheap roadside snack, he followed her as she cheerfully greeted a shop assistant advertising the latest cherry lip balm, he

followed

her

everywhere.

.

.

.

A sudden chill struck him, eyebrows scrunching up as he realised he had somehow lost sight of her.

Huh?

Where did she go?

He frantically looked around, fear settling in the very core of his heart, head whishing from side to side. Dozens of passersby chattered around him, oblivious to his panic. Goosebumps prickled his skin. No! No! No! His heart was still thudding in his mouth when a shoulder bumped up against his. His eyes flashed as he glimpsed back at who it was.

Dajeong stood in front of him, eyes a pretty ocean blue, whole being practically radiating a warm glow.

"...I'm sorry." She shot him an apologetic smile that almost looked like a half-grimace. The relief that washed up against him like a tidal wave almost matched the weight of the crimson tint flooding his face. How he must have hated that tendency to blush like a little girl who's been caught passing love-notes. His word were quivering as he tried to get them out.

"N-no...I-I'm...I'm more sorry!" The last part of the sentence was lost in the chilly air as he dashed away, leaving a sudden gust of wind behind him. She watched his disappearing figure, dazed, before shrugging to herself.

Today's definitely not the day.

But Yohan, Yohan Do, did not give up easily.

Quickly enough, he was following in her tracks once more, stepping softly so as not to alert her of his presence. His lips tightened, sadness in his eyes.

Always...

Every time...

"...hi." It was a soft voice, nothing more than a whisper. Now wonder it went unheard by her.

...I get the courage to talk to her, she turns away.

His whole body sagged down. If he had ears, you would have seen them droop. The corners of his lips turned down slightly in a troubled pout.

It's cold today because of the rain. The forecast said it'd be sunny tomorrow.

And...

then I imagine.

A galactic sphere, containing only the two of them, her eyes shut, looking almost angelic as he watched her. If only...

If it was just the two of us in the world...

...would you look at me then?

If you would, I...

Dajeong turned back, making Yohan hastily duck down behind a car to avoid being spotted.

That's weird, she thought. It felt like someone was following me...am I just imagining it?

He pulled the hood of his jacket further over his head, pressing himself up against the car door, feeling the cool metal kiss his back through the fabric. His heart lept in his chest, doing little dances, beating wildly against his chest.

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.

Rain soaked his clothes, his face downcast and worried.

...I'm not sure what she'll think of me.
