Five Nights at Freddy's! Through Old Eyes!
It's late at night, a light shower of rain hits the windows of the hospital where Mia's grandfather lays on his bed surrounded by Mia and her family. Not only are drops showering outside, but a few tears fall from everyone as they stand around their beloved family member as he lays there on his deathbed. Mia is the only one sitting on a chair closest to her grandfather holding on tight to his hand.
"Grandpa. . ." Says Mia as she tries to hold her endless tears back.
"Don't worry Mia, Says her grandfather in a raspy voice. I'll still be with you in a way." He says smiling at her. Crying even more, Mia's father gets her up and they walk out of the room to go home as visiting hours are over.
Crying the whole way home, Mia thinks back to all the fun times she had her grandfather. All the times they went fishing together, when she would stay at her grandparents house when her parents would go out of town on business, all the Christmases they would sit together and open presents from each other. Mia loved her grandfather very much, she didn't want to see him go. But as her mom tells her, it is the way of life. All lives will end one day. Mia didn't want it to be that way, she wanted her grandfather to live forever; to watch her grow up. But that wasn't going to happen.
Two days later while Mia and her father are at home when they get the call. As her father answers the phone, he then comes into the living room where Mia is and sits down next to her to tell her that her grandfather has passed. Mia just sits there for a moment before she breaks down and plunges her face into her dad's belly crying more than she did the other day.
Unable to go to the funeral, Mia stays home in her room crying the whole time thinking about her grandfather. It's not easy for one to accept that a beloved one has passed on, but for 10 year old's like Mia; it can be much harder being they are still so young.
When her family finally comes home, they tell her that they will be going to visit her grandmother the next day to gather her grandfather's old belongings and put them into storage. Mia accepts the invite to come along, but she doesn't plan to help. She just wants to see her grandfather's old knickknacks and toys he kept from his childhood.
The next day, Mia and her family arrive at her now only grandmother's house and greet her at the door giving her hugs to make her feel better about her husband's passing. Entering the house, Mia gets away from everyone and goes to look at her grandfather's old things he kept in a museum like room he would show her when she came to visit. Old uniforms from when he was in the army, antique guns and knives kept behind a glass case, and toys he kept from when he was young.
On a small desk in the middle of the room, Mia finds a picture of her grandparents from when they were around her own parents' ages smiling at the camera together. As a tear rolls down her cheek, her family comes in looking for her.
"Come on Mia, you need to help too." Says her father as he goes to take her hand.
Taking the picture out of her hand and putting it back on the desk, they go to the garage to start taking the tools and old car parts the grandfather had kept from when he worked as a mechanic. There was no use for them to just stay in there collecting dust, so they planned to take them and give it all to a mechanic company to use.
As a truck pulls into the driveway, they begin putting everything they are taking inside. Mia however, sneaks away again to go back to her grandfather's museum room to look around again.
Opening the door again and flipping on the lights, she scans everything in the room that reminds her of her grandfather. Walking around, she sees a soldier hat sitting beyond a glass case neatly sitting on a hat stand with not a speck of dust on it. Her grandfather always did like to keep everything he kept close to him clean.
