"Ohhh?" But it's more fun this way~" He giggled to himself before his eyes scanned the room. "Your soon to be is over? Well, why didn't you say so?"

"I did." Prince Amane tapped his foot impatiently on the wooden floor of the library while his brother jumped from the windowsill.

After giving the princess a silent and respectful bow, his eyes landed on me. "Who's this?" His hand grabbed my chin gently and he lifted my face so that he could see me properly. "What pretty eyes. I haven't seen you around here. Surely I haven't. I would've remembered you." his grip on my chin left as he booped my nose while chucking to himself.

My cheeks turned into a rosie color and I avoided his gaze awkwardly. "A-ah...hello?" I questioned myself. His gaze was so sharp, a knife would shrivel in comparison. My fingers found their home in playing with my hair.

A hand had gripped on Prince Tsukasa's forearm tightly. "You will not touch her." The princess spat. Her tone of voice surprised me. His observing and curious gaze towards me turned into a sinister smirk.

"Yes, I see. She's from your kingdom. Is she not?" He yanked his arm away from her dainty hands and fixed the sleeve of his shirt.

"What?" The princess let go of his arm as he stepped away.

I tried to compose myself after that endeavor but the warmth in my cheeks never left. I was the daughter of that greedy lord Azon. Did he not know that? "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is (Y/n) Azon from the Azon family.

Prince Tsukasa stopped his move towards the door to look at me. "I didn't know lord Azon had a daughter. That man is just full of surprising secrets."

"He's not one for sharing," I grumbled. A close panting caught my attention from the library window.

"Tsukasa, there you are! Why did you run off? We have paperwork to tend to!" Disheveled brown hair poked from the open window. He was wearing the uniform of a butler. He was prince Tuskasa's personal butler. Natsuhiko was his name, from what the maids had told me.

Tsukasa quickly made a run for it to the door. "That's why I left. No one in their right mind would want to do that!"

"I think it's best if we retire until dinner. The trip here has never been graceful." Princess Nene grabbed my arm and started to lead me out of the library.

"See you at dinner then." And with that, the doors closed behind us.

The princess stretched in the air and let out a sigh. "I thought I was gonna die!" She complained.

"Why would you die? Is the prince not a good fiance?" I asked. Expecting some juicy story only reserved for a friend.

The princess stopped and turned around to look at me, waving her hand in the air at my assumptions. "No! Amane is absolutely wonderful. It's just his brother who scares me. He's too forward and violent." She held herself as she walked down the hall with me in tow. "About earlier..." She began. But she never finished. Letting her sentence remain that way. "How about we take a bath together?" She suggested.

"W-What? Princess! I am just a mere attendant, I could never-" u shook my hands out in disagreement but she only held them with her own.

"Hush now. You are noble as well as my friend. Plus, it's my demand! I require it!" She huffed. It was like a child who was throwing a fit over her toy being taken.

My hand went to wave in the air to protest her decision strongly once more, but it faltered when I compared our status. What right do I have to refuse the Princess? "Very well. Shall I get any bathing oils for you? Maybe some flower petals or scented candles?"

Her determined eyes turned happy once again when she saw that I had accepted defeat. "Rose bath oil! Along with petals. Yes. Only that will do. No need for the candles." We began our trek Through the hallways until we reached the princess's room. There were already three maids ready to undress her and prepare her for her bath.

"Allow me to go and retrieve that oil for you princess." I smiled at her slightly before I turned my gaze on the other maids. They're commoners, right? I'm a noble, so I have a higher status than them being the princess's attendant. Right? " The princess would like her bath to be graced with rose petals. They should be in the container on the counter over there. They were freshly picked this morning so luckily, they aren't dehydrated yet."

"Yes, my lady. We will be on it right away." They replied, but still had their attention diverted onto the princess. Well, it was only to be expected.

Within the next five minutes, both the princess and I were in the bath while maids took the time to clean the room. We both wanted to bask in the warmness of the water. "Princess. I read in a book that there are natural hot springs in Buranda. Shall we visit there together one day?"

"Really? There's such a thing in Buranda? But Buranda is a hot country. What about a natural hot spring in a cold country?" Her legs went up to her chest and she held onto them with her arms.

"No Natural hot springs that I know of. But they do have many man made ones out in the cold countries. They really love them out there." I smiled at her.

"Have you ever bathed in bath oil (Y/n)?" The princess asked me.

I shook my head and looked at the bottle of slightly used rose oil. "No. My father is only a lord. And although he's greedy, he never spent money on things like bath oil for me."

The princess's eyes followed mine to the bottle and she took it in her hands to observe it. "Well. You belong to me now, since I am to be wed to his highness, the prince." She placed the bottle down and attacked me with a hug. Water spilled over the tub and I squeaked in surprise. "You won't ever have to go through that again as long as you have good relations with the imperial family! And since I am to be empress soon this should be no problem."

For the first time, it felt like I could breathe.
