She took my hand and we drove off. "Abree, you know mommy loves you?" I just nodded my head. I didn't want her to hurt me. It was a long ride after that. Mommy scares me. She's mean. Especially when she's on drugs.
She opened the door of her house. Last time I was here. She tried my hands to pole and hit me with a belt on my bareback until I was bleeding. I was lucky to survive cause daddy saved me. But I might not be so lucky this time.
She lead me by the hand, I dared not to struggle from her grip. "Here's your new room, Abree. You're going to live with mommy." No, my worst nightmare. I didn't wanna live with mommy. But I kept quiet. I didn't want to make mommy mad.
I stayed in my room, she gotten me this doll. It was beautiful, I named her Darla. She had beautiful long wavy blonde hair with perfect curls at the tips, the brightest green eyes, and a pink lace dress. I loved her. "Thank you, mommy." I said being nice.
"I knew you would love her." She said smiling. "What do you want for lunch? I'm cooking."
"Chicken and Waffles!" I say maybe a little loud, I hope she doesn't get mad at me for yelling.
"Okay. Chicken and Waffles it is." She saids smiling.
