you didn't know how long you had been trapped in this courtyard, pinned down to the floor. you had been captured by the humans on the island when sent on your mission from marley but instead of fighting them trying to escape, you let them capture you. you never wanted to become a titan. you had been forced to by your family, forced to become a warrior just so they can have extra privileges. you figured that staying here with the others thinking you were dead was better than having to go back home to face your family. they would just be disappointed in you.

your eyes moved to the scientist who did experiments on you walking into the courtyard. you had taken a liking to her if being honest. she didn't treat you like a monster. if anything pained you, it seemed as though it pained her much more. she always treated you with kindness and if something did pain you she would constantly apologise. you thought it wasn't too bad being stuck her if you were stuck with her.

"good morning bean!" right, that was the name she had given you. "i have news for you." she walked over to you, despite her squad's protests to stay back and sat down in front of you. "we've found out there are three other titans like you here. annie leonhart, reiner braun and bertholdt hoover. do those ring any bells?"

you rolled your eyes internally when hearing those names. they always got on your nerves, reiner especially who kept pretending to be someone he's not. trying to replace someone you were once close to. you were glad that you had nothing to do with them anymore.

"oh it seems your face dropped! so you do know them, hm~?" she drawled, moving closer to you. she groaned when you didn't respond, not that you could when in your titan form. "i already know you're a human in there so c'mon, come out already!" she whined, holding her hands up as if pleading.

"section leader hange!" a man exclaimed and told her to have some respect. you didn't mind when hange acted this way which was quite often. you loved seeing someone so fascinated by titans when all you had known was hate for just existing. hange was, to put it simply, a refreshing change.

"but i want to know who's in there!" hange walked closer to you and placed a hand on your head. your titan was most similar to the attack titan with sharp ears, a wide mouth and long hair similar in style to your own. the only difference in appearance beside you having a more feminine body was that you had a back made of crystal to protect your nape. "won't you please come out? we could have so much fun together~!"

it would be a lie to say you weren't tempted. hange's excitement was almost infectious. but you barely had the energy to move your body from being stuck in your titan form for over a year now. even if you wanted to leave the titan body, you wouldn't be able to unless a wave of energy washed over you.

it was a speak of the devil moment. you regretted your thoughts when a titan broke through the wall of the courtyard, walking quickly to your spot. you could barely see the titan's face but from the body you could recognise it to be the armoured titan. reiner. what the hell was he doing here?

hange had moved away from you, her hand leaving your head in a cold spot. you wanted to feel her warmth again but, more importantly, you didn't want her to be hurt by reiner. knowing bertholdt, he was probably hiding in the shadows somewhere to help if needed. you knew there was no way he would let reiner do this alone.
