during the week, you would see kuroo and kenma together and of course you were with them. kenma was quieter than he usually is, which confused you, until kuroo explained that he really doesn't like being around people all the time.
the weekend rolled around and it was finally saturday night. you were dressed in a comfortable outfit once again, since it seemed like he didn't mind it last time.
you two were already playing a game, but instead of taking turns, you played against each other.
it was tied from start to finish, which you didn't expect any different. he was an amazing gamer, but that didn't mean you weren't as equally good.
hours went by and you were exhausted. all you two did was play video games, over and over again. you loved it though. if you could do this for the rest of your life, you would accept in a heartbeat.
eventually, the both of you took a break. it was around 12am.
your mom didn't care how long you stayed. she trusted you and knew that you would let her know if anything happened, so of course you took advantage of that and spent quality time with the people you cared for the most, which was him and kuroo at the moment.
- play the song above!
you and kenma were on his bed, facing each other. you had some snacks on the side of you two to keep you awake, but you were sure that it wasn't working.
you looked over at kenma, and his eyelids were low. you flick his forehead and he whines. you softly laugh and lay sideways, slightly stretching.
"have you ever had your first kiss?" he looks over with a slight blush and nods his head. you raise your eyebrows and lean on your elbows.
"is that so? mind spilling the details?" he sighs, softly grinning.
"it was my first year of junior high. this girl really liked me and i- i think i liked her? i wasn't sure...but she kissed me- and i kind of just stood there." there was a moment of silence before you bursted out in laughter. he shoves you, which made you laugh even harder.
you wipe a fake tear with a smile plastered in your face.
"wow- i haven't laughed that hard in a long time." you tease and he scoffs, smiling.
"now- i bet you have a story too." he leans his head on the palm of his hand. the smile that was on your face slowly wiped away.
"actually- i've never kissed anyone before." you look over and kenmas eyes were huge.
"pfft-" he covers his mouth and looks away. your mouth gapes open, a smile creeping up as you softly shove him.
"oh my- don't make fun of me!" he shakes his head, smiling.
you had never seen him smile so much, so knowing that you could make him smile so easily made you- happy.
"i just- i did not expect that." instead of leaning on your elbows, you sit up to lean on your hands.
"what did you expect?"
"i- i don't know- i expected you to be like- a professional at this stuff- or something-" he fiddles with his fingers.
"tch- please i wish." you grab a few chips and shove them in your mouth. a comfortable silence over took the air, until you decided to break it.
"have you ever been in love?" he sneezes and you laugh.
"did that- question just make- you sneeze?" you were laughing in the sentence, causing it to be broken.
"shut up." he grabs a tissue, blowing his nose. he softly sniffles and you "awe." he gives you a weird look and you disregard it, going back to the question.
"so~ have you?" he shakes his head.
"nah- i haven't. i don't think i'm missing out on much." you turn your head and sigh.
"well i think- you're missing out." he looks over at you with a soft grin on your face. a comfortable silence fell once again. your eyelids were slowly lowering, but you didn't want to fall asleep.
"kenma- wake me up..." your eyes flutter. you lay flat from your upright position. his hand moves to the top of your head, then slides down to the ends and gently twirls them around his finger.
you softly wrap your hand around his wrist, wanting him to stop, but you didn't have enough strength to pull him away. you didn't want to fall asleep here, definitely not here, but from the way he didn't stop, you knew that this is what he wanted.
"it's okay. it's too late for you to go home anyways." he scoops his arms under yours and pulls you towards the top of the bed. your head flops on the pillow. he sighs in relief, placing a blanket over you.
you were knocked out at this point. he searched for your phone, finding it and using face recognition to open it. he presses on your contacts, finding anything that has to do with 'mom.' he simply finds 'mom' and clicks on the message icon.

he waits for a reply, admiring the sleepy girl in his favorite sleeping spot. his hand finds her cheek, softly rubbing it with his thumb. why did she make him smile so much? it wasn't like him to be so happy, so why now? what's so different?
she's different.
he shakes the thought out of his head as a message from her mother pops up. he sighs in relief.
