So before I used photoshop I went through many many different apps. Here are some of my favourites/the best ones to use.

1. Phonto

Phonto is probably the best app for placing text

Phonto is probably the best app for placing text. You can download free fonts from DaFont.com right to it. In addition you can curve the text (which is great if you are making stickers) and add photos ontop.

2. Moldiv

Moldiv is great as it has collage templates, perfect for creating character aesthetics! I also used to use this app to merge two pictures together

3. PicsArt

There is a lot you can do with PicsArt! You can draw, edit photos, place pngs, cut people out, change hair and eye colours

4. PhotoScape X

I don't know what this is available on (as I use a MacBook) but I used this when I first got my laptop

I don't know what this is available on (as I use a MacBook) but I used this when I first got my laptop. It is pretty good, very similar to photoshop.

5. Rookie Cam

This app is really only good for overlays and editing images
