the year is 2060 and everyone on earth is divided into 3 groups: the healers (skilled in helping others), the makers (skilled in creating and inventing), and the readers (skilled in mind reading, empathy, & altering how other people feel). however, 2 very different young adults discover that they don't fall into any group and are shunned by society, until they each make a remarkable discovery and end up crossing paths.
