Today is the most important day if my life. It is the time to know whether I am accepted to the famous London University or not. I am really nervous but deep dot I know that I will be accepted. Why will I not, I had worked so hard for it. London is my dream city Since the day I read "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens, I want to be a part of that city. It's not just a city for me but it's an obsession. As a teenager I always used to fantasize about England. " Maithili wake up, it's 6:30 am" . I heard mummy (mom) calling me." Oh shit! , I was supposed to be up at 6. Why the hell I am half an hour late" . I mummered. I woke up and saw my sister Mayuri laying beside me. She was asleep, she is not gonna be up before nine. I rushed to bathroom do my morning routines and started checking my emails. There was nothing. I was frustrated. "Don't worry beta(child), it is still morning" Papa said. Papa is as always optimistic and carefree. Whenever I am nervous and anxious and says "how am I gonna to do it's, he always replied " Don't worry, you will learn everything with time".His words comforts me and make me believe in myself. We all had our breakfast afterwards. I was still anxious as this was really important for me. After lunch, I heard my phone ringing with notification. I checked it and "yeah" I cried. Mummy,Papa, Shivam and Mayuri looked towards me. "I am accepted, the mail says, I have to report next month". They were all happy for me.
One month later
All the arrangements were done. I packed my stuff. Mummy and Manu(Mayuri's nickname) helped me a lot. We all go for shopping. I bought every item which I thought to be necessary, so I don't have time panic at last minute coz I barely know London. Finally the day came when I have to take off to London. Everyone was there with me at the Delhi airport to say bye and " have a great journey'. We hugged I will miss them and I get in to my seat in the plane. It was a long journey but I enjoyed it coz it was first time in the airplane. Finally plane landed and here I was in London, my dream city.
