3-The Campsite

(A/N, this chapter contains self harm, if you are not comfatable with this, I recommend you skip this chapter or stop reading. And this is based just after All might retired as a hero, but the Eri rescue mission has already happened {Aizawa and Mic adopted Eri and Shinsou.)

Midoriya's POV

"Midoriya?" Todoroki sad as he walked into the classroom. "Hey Todoroki" I replied. "Where is everyone?" He asked, "Aizawa Sensei sent everyone home to get ready for the summer trip, I thought you might want to have someone tell you instead of not knowing, so I waited for you." I told him. "Thanks" he responded with a genuine smile, I don't think I have seen him smile genuinely for a very long time, I then noticed his eyes were red and puffy as if he had been crying I placed my hand on his shoulder "Are you ok? You look like you've been crying.." I asked him, his smile faded as he looked at the floor. "I don't want to talk about it, if that's ok.." he responded, "okay, but I'm always here to talk if you ever want to." I told him.

Time skip because yeah, next day.

Todoroki's POV

As I walk into the classroom with my bags for the trip, I see Midoriya, "hey Todoroki!" He greeted me. "Hello Midoriya." I greeted him back. "Move out the way you damn extras!" Bakugo screamed at us. "Sorry Kacchan" Midoriya apologized. "Bakugo you need to learn to be nice, Midoriya doesn't deserve to be treated like that, nobody does!" I yelled at him. "Todoroki it's fine." Midoriya told me. "No it's not, you don't deserve to be treated like that, Bakugo needs to get that into his tiny brain!" I responded with hostility towards Bakugo. "Oi! Watch your goddamn mouth, half and half!" Bakugo replied with anger as he swung his arm to punch me. "Bakugo! Be nice." Kirishima told Bakugo and Bakugo immediately stopped and walked over to him muttering to himself. "Umm.. since when does Kacchan listen to Kirishima?" Midoriya asked me. "I'm not sure.." we went into the classroom and everyone was sat in their cabin groups, so Midoriya and I sat with Tsu and Uraraka. "Hey Midoriya, Hey Todoroki!" Uraraka greeted us. "Hello, you guys! Ribbit!" Tsu greeted us. "Hey girls" Midoriya and I greeted them at the same time, we laughed about how in sinc it was for a moment. "I see your father allowed you to come on the trip.." Uraraka laughed slightly. "Y-yeah" I replied. Even the mention of my father gave me the urge to want to cut, but ever since I had spoken to Touya, I tried my best not to cut, but the urge keeps growing in every thought of my father, I am trying my best to keep him out of my head to stop the urge from growing, I was fighting the thought of my father in my mind for so long I hadn't realised that I had zoned out. I could just hear Midoriya calling my name "Todoroki? Can you hear me? Todoroki!" "Huh? Sorry I zoned out for a minute.." I told him. "Aizawa Sensei is leading everyone to the bus now." Uraraka said. I got up and went to pickup my bag and noticed that it wasn't where I put it, I looked around for a second, then I had noticed that Uraraka had made it float. "Uraraka!" I said in a tone that told her that I wasn't in the mood. "Sorry..." She apologized. "No, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been so rude, I'm just not feeling great.." I apologized to her. "Are you ok, Todoroki?" Midoriya asked me as we started boarding the bus. "Yeah, I'm fine.." I sat in a empty seat next to the window, after I put my seat belt on I put my headphones in my ears, rested my head on the window and closed my eyes. I hadn't realised that Midoriya was sat next to me until I felt his hand on my shoulder. I quickly opened my eyes and removed my headphones and turned to him and smiled at him, I noticed his cheeks slightly redden. "I didn't get much sleep last night, so I might end up falling asleep, just letting you know in advance.." He told me. "That's fine, if your tired, you should get sleep if you need to." I told him as I put my headphones back in my ears and leant my head against the window and closed my eyes.

Time skip: about an hour later

I woke up as the bus had parked at the campsite. I felt Midoriya's head on my shoulder, I looked at him and smiled, he looked so peaceful, I really didn't want to wake him, but I had to. I shook him gently "Hey, Midoriya, We are at the campsite now." I told him trying to wake him up. He didn't move. People started getting off the bus and as soon as Uraraka had saw Midoriya asleep on my shoulder she quickly took a picture and smirked. I kept gently shaking Midoriya trying to get him to wake up. "HEY WAKE UP, YOU STUPID NERD!" Bakugo screamed in his ear causing to wake up and start tearing up in panic. "Bakugo!" I shouted at him as I hugged Midoriya getting him to calm down. "T-Todoroki?" He asked as he wrapped his arm around me tightly as he calmed down. "Don't worry, it was Bakugo being an idiot again." I told him as I removed my arms from around him after I realised what I was doing and quickly pulled away after he noticed I had let go. "I'm sorry, I should've asked to hug you.." I apologized to him. "No, it's okay, you were just comforting me and I kinda liked the hug.." My cheeks started going red as he told me while we picked up our bags and started getting off the bus to join the others, Kirishima was still lecturing Bakugo about how unmanly it was of him to wake Midoriya up the way he did.
