Sacrifices (Edward elric x reader)

you and als laughfter was ringing throughout the stark streets of central.ed was chasing the both of you with big mad angry stomps. before long you both turnt around and put your hands up when ed skirts to a stop. all of you were breathing heavy, and you suggested the three of you start walking down to noahs caravan. while walking, you ended up somehow having alphones on the far left, ed in the middle and you on the right. "do you guys ever wonder what it beyond the stars?" you question as you look up loosing yourself in the multi-millions of stars surounding you. Ed and Al join in with your gazing, "well theoreticaly there is more space then there is stars and planets." ed states with a slightly 'isnt it obvious' voice, "i dont think thats what she means, brother." alphonse giggled. "thats true, ed but, come one man there has got to be somthing else out there, dont you think.

there is a silene as the three of you look up as if you could see somthing (you couldnt.) all the suden you get a feeling, a nice one, you realised you will be spending your life with theese two, they are no longer some strangers they aren't friends or best friends, they are your brothers now, and theres npthing anyone can do to change it. you look back down streaching your neck and continueing to walk, but then something catches your eye, you couldn't see somthing but this wasnt a something it was a someone. you didn't want to alarm everyone so you pretended you didn't notice anything. your sences yelled at you to duck down and you lunge sideways, casuing ed to topple sideways and onto the ground right as a heavy sounding gunshot sounded and a bullet whistled past your face. yopu find yourself pinning edward down at the shoulders, you were staring straight into his golden eyes, reflecting the beautiful stars. your gaze flickers round his oval face as he starts to blush.  "your eyes look like they could hold the world," you wisper your thoughts to him. you turn round, in a ready mode, noone was there. they simply vanished.

sudenly, from one of the allyway at your left, you hear  a gun being cocked, you switch to a ready stance, you push alphonse out the way, who was right behind you, and cover him with your body as a second bullet passed your heads. "GUYS!!!! RUN!" you yell, you grab als arm and pull him into a bridal-style run as ed follows not so far behind. the too. after you were certain the attacker was lost, you place al back down, he looked very annoyed you just through a awkward smile. "sorry, i panicked,badd." you say to al in a strange tone, "next time just remeber, i can run you idiot." he replies. you look away, "i-i'm sorry i-"
"its alright." al says with a releaving voice. you take a backwards glance at edward, he was looking more pissed then alphonse was . you turn fully to face edward, and he moves his gaze towards you. "ed, i- " you get cut off, "i've been thinking, (y/n). who would want us gone?"

you set your chin in your hand , proping it up with your metal arm. "ummmm, i dont know," you look off into space in deep thought. "i havent done anything so bad someone will want to kill me....right?" ed says cofused on why any one wants him dead, he pauses, "i might not have but (y/n), buy you have." you looked schocked and gesture to yourself, "me!?!? but i-" you get flash backs of all the all the fights you'd won. "right, i have havent i." you look at the ground, exasperated. "what now? i only met  you guys yesterday, so i won't be so hard to say bye...right." even though you tried to sound normal , the thought of leaving the only two people who didnt regard you an outcast sent hurtfull shivers down your spine.

Eds eyes widen, "NO, you cant do that, (YN), you can do alchemy, and i.. well...i" you look at ed silently begging him to finish his sentance. "there is something important i need to figure out, and your our first clue." the fact thated was only your friend because you were a clue to the goal sort of....hurt you, but you simply just pushed the feeling down. "why don't we rent a hotel room for today?" you suggested looking round at the pitch black sky "it is getting quite dark" ed agrees.

whoa (Y/N), this is awesome! i am so glad you can do alchemy!" al praises you. in the end you didnt have enough dough to pay for any room at all, so you were forced to do some alchemy. you had to sacrafice a few pencils from your bag, you made them into dimonds by moving the carbon attoms arrangement and paid for a massive hotel room. with it you were given a years worth of food. ed went round inspecting it extramly closely, you followed not far behind. there were three bedrooms, two bathroons, a mini kitchen and a masive lounge. this was the biggest place you have ever seen, ou were star struck. it was really late, so the buffet dinner was closed, but there was always a open mini bar that provided food. the three of you head down there. after you ate your ramen and cheese, you go back to the room and colapse on the bed. the nice coolness of the clean bed sheets refreshed you.

you hear a loud pounding at the door and your eyes open. you slip off the bed and place your feet on the fluffy carpeted floor, leaning on the side of the bed. "come in!" you called. the door slowely creaks open as edward steps into the room. "hey...." you ignore his greating and close your eyes. you see the moment you weree staring into ed's golden eyes, they reflected the stars so beautifully. it was pushing you towards the edge, your chest expanded with a feeling of nerve flowing throughout. you say something compleatly diffrent to what you were thinking. "close the door..." you say sharply, you wait till the door clicks close before opening one of your eyes. ed stands by the tall wooden door, his cheeks are dusted red, as he was scratching the back of his neck. you giggle slightly. ''what...?'' ed says suspisiously ''what, you thinking about?'' his question makes you giggle  more. ''oh shortie,tell me why your here again.'' he was having one of his cute little anger moments. "who do you think your talking to!!?!?! i am the great one-and-only edward elric, capable of many thi-''
"not yet capable of being tall." you interupt with a laugh. ed growled at you with anger. you pat the spot next to you "come, sit down and please tell me why you are actually here."

ed shuffles towards the bed, still trying to be angry. he sits down right where your hands were just a moment ago.  " i just wantedto talk but someone just had to pick a fight with me!" you smile at his comment "so...what did you want to talk about?...." ed looks at you hesitantly "what wil our plans be?we cant just stay here forever." you prop your chin onto your left hand and jump slightly as the cold metal touches your skin, " that friend of yours...noah, isnt it? well....you guys travel with her, so i'm sure you'll have to work something out with her. after all i am a stranger you only met yesterday." you say "yeah....i guess you're right." ed says with a slight sigh. "after that, it'll be up to you and what ever noah says. you can choose to leave without me, or you can stay with me for a while and leave when i am ready too." ed nods at your suggestions, you feel like somthing is off. "this isnt what you came to talk about is it?" you more explain then ask. ed shoots his head up to look atyou, making a suprised sound. you stare into his metalic yellow eyes and see sp much more than you thought would be there. you saw sadness, desperation and so so much truth. this boys seen to much, you think. ed turns away. "hey...have you ever happened to see...you know...the..truth.?"

"the truth?"

"yeah"

you think for a bit. "nope." ed presses his lips together "i see." you notice the tension in his form. "why, something wrong?" ed stares at the ground for a second, before shaking his head. "nope." he gets up from his seat, "well then, ill get going now, see ya!" ed makes his way out of the room as he makes on of those adorable smiling faces and puts his hand up waving to you. "wait!" you grab his hand and he takes one step away and you pull yourself up. "tell  me if anythings up..kay?" his face turned pink, "okay." you let go and he walks out your room.
