Greemflame ~ Grief

Lloyd was sitting alone in the monastery, not saying anything. He had locked everyone away from him, just wanting to sulk in the darkness.

Harumi had betrayed him .. the one person he felt he would be by his side till the end .. and she was gone from that dream now.

There was no more Harumi .. no one for Lloyd to love like that ever again. He was alone in this world, just as he had always felt before and again and again.

Startling his thoughts, a knock on the door would cause him to lift his head in panic. Who was it ... did they hear him sobbing before .. no no he was the leader of a team he couldn't be seen like this!

Before he could do anything, the door would creak open, revealing a shadow of one of his ninja. Looks up to meet the gaze of whom ever it was.

Kai.

Smiling a little for the first time, he'd feel more relaxed. Kai had been there for him time and time again. There was no reason he still wouldn't now .. it felt ... nice.

Kai would smile back, pacing over to the bed and settling down beside him, keeping the door slightly cracked.

" Hey there bigshot, You doing okay ? "

What kinda question was that .. of course he wasn't okay. Lloyd would grumble, but he still thought it was cute Kai had asked ...

" No .. not really, just can't believe Harumi did me like that to be honest. She was the one .. the one person who I ... I .. "

He'd choke on his words, biting his lip to keep in any sobs.

" hey hey it's okay dude! I understand completely, there's no reason to talk about it if it's going to make you cry ... "

Kai would look down, feeling guilty as Lloyds eyes watered. But what would he do .. he was just part of the ninja team, he wasn't anything special compared to Rumi ... no matter how much he wanted to be.

Shakes the thought away, blushing. If one thing was for sure, he would protect the green ninja with his life rather then ruin it.

Feeling a surge of anger, he'd turn away with clenched fists, fire alighting in his hands from the burning rage.

Manages to calm down in time before Lloyd turns back to him though, shooting an innocent look.

" Can you ... stay with me tonight " the green ninja asked with stutters.

Kai didn't honestly know how to reply .. he had feelings for Lloyd, that was obvious .. so this would be weird right? But Lloyd was so upset right now and he needed someone ... he'd do it.

" Yes, Of course I will , Lloyd " smiles, leaning back on the bed and staring at the door frame. He just wanted this to be over as quick as possible ...

Lloyd would lay back as well, taking a few moments to just sit there in the dark and silence with Kai.

He loved Kai himself to .. but was unsure of his feelings. After the whole thing with Morro, they'd looked after one another .. but not like brothers .. maybe more like lovers?

As he lay down in thought, he'd feel the warmth coming from Kai. He was the fire ninja after all, and had the element inside him.

Turning around, he'd realize how cold he felt .. or maybe it was just the longing to be with Kai. But he convinced himself otherwise and met the red ninjas gaze for a few moments before popping a question.

" Kai .. can I uhm .. get closer to you .. it's kinda chilly " he'd stutter some more, looking down and fiddling with his hands.

Kai would sit there, a flustered mess at this point and turn to look at him.

" s- sure! Besides, who wouldn't want to sit next to the all mighty red ninja Hehe! " playing it off like a joke, he'd lay back and place his hands behind his head again.

Feels something at his side, freezing and looks straight forward. Did Lloyd actually lay with him ..

Turning around, he'd see the green ninja curled up to his side, a peaceful smile now on his face as Kai's warmth heated him up. Stutters a few words himself, but doesn't say anything, to awed in the moment.

Takes his arm, wrapping it around the green ninja and pulling him slightly closer, to the point where there bodies were touching and heat would flow through.

Then turns on his side, wanting to get a better look at Lloyd at this very moment.

He couldn't stop blushing, it was becoming overwhelming. The green ninja looked so peaceful and tired .. that it was cute?

Shakes his head again, watching Lloyd carefully as he feel asleep.

Once asleep, Kai would pull Lloyd to his chest, engulfing him in warmth and comfort. Kai himself had never felt warmer .. just being here with Lloyd. Leans down, kissing his head lightly as he began to drift off himself, each of them at peace in one another's embrace.
