(Y/N) POV

I Rushed into the direction that Midnight fell with my arms ignited in flames ready to face whatever lied ahead, once I got there I was horrified when I saw the state she was in, I saw a masked villain about to strike her down, as this was happening something in my mind suddenly snapped.

'Kill'

The voice was demonic in nature, it caused me to grasp my head in pain as the flames on my arms began spreading over the rest of my body, causing a build up of pressure in the air knocking the small group of villains behind midnight back, my beautiful bright red flames started turning a dark blackish red as this happened I began to black out.

Midnight POV

I watched as (Y/N) held his head in pain, I watched as his body became completely covered in flames, I looked on in complete horror as the once pristine red flames turned a dark blackish red. Suddenly his flames caused a violent explosion; that caused me to quickly shut my eyes and brace for an impact; however the impact never came all I could feel was a calm healing  sensation; slowly but surely I opened my eyes and saw that I was surrounded in a small dome of the dark blackish red fire, that appeared to be slowly healing me; out of curiosity I touched the flames and found that they didn't cause any form of harm; to me at least, however as I did this I heard a loud scream of pain from behind me.

Skull masked villain: "Aaahh!"

I quickly turned around and saw that the skull masked villain that was going to attack me earlier was stood behind me, however the sleeve on the left side of his uniform was completely incinerated and his arm was covered in very severe burns.

Skull masked villain: "Tch forget the woman for now, I'll kill the brat first."     

As he says this I turn to where (Y/N) once was to find that he had completely vanished leaving a small crater.  

Midnight: 'Wait where did (Y/N) go?!'

As if on que an explosion happened behind me, I turn around and see that the other three villains were launched into different directions all littered in severe burns from head to toe fortunately they seemed to still be breathing, I tried to look for what or whoever caused the explosion but I couldn't see through the thick black smoke, however as the smoke started to slowly subside what I saw shocked me, it was (Y/N) his jet black hair shadowed over his eyes, he was slightly hunched over but most notably his blackish red flames had formed two demonic horns on top of his head, the flames had also formed sharp claws and talons on his hands and feet and all of the flames seemed to be flowing out of where scars were on his body as the scars themselves glowed a bright red that could be seen through his completely untouched and undamaged clothing. The sight was enough to cause me to tremble in fear, I've never seen him like this before, it was almost as if he was a different person, it wasn't the same kindhearted child I met years ago; I remember it like it was yesterday.

<Flashback 8 years ago>

On a stormy night I was laying on the sofa silently browsing through the different channels on the TV completely bored out of my mind waiting for my husband to come home, I could hear the heavy rain crashing against the window, I could hear the roars of violent thunder and I could also see the occasional flash of lightning from the slight gap in between the curtains; I was about to fall asleep until I heard the front door open and quickly shut, followed by what sounded like my husband talking to someone before he quickly called for me. 

Byakuya: "Nemuri, could you come here for a minute?"

I got off of the sofa and quickly walked to the front door to greet my husband, as I got there I noticed he stood there in his hero outfit completely drenched in water; I chuckled at the sight but quickly calmed down when I noticed that his scarf was missing.

Midnight: "What happened to your scarf?"

He quickly did a 'behind me' gesture with his head, I slowly went to look behind him and saw a child no older than 8, with long scruffy jet black hair that covered his eyes, his head looking down at the ground, his body was mostly covered in Byakuya's scarf was, but from what I could see his clothes seemed to be nothing but rags and I could also see scars across his arms and legs causing me to gasp in horror, I quickly looked over to my husband before quietly asking. 

Midnight: "Who did this?"   

Byakuya quickly looked down and quietly responded with

Byakuya: "I'll tell you later"

He quickly regained his posture 

Byakuya: "Nemuri, this is (Y/N), my cousin, he's going to be staying with us from now on."  

That night I learnt about his traumatic past and from that point I made it my mission in life to see him smile and to give him the best possible life I can.

<End Flashback>

As I snapped out of reminiscing about the past, I saw (Y/N) kneeling down and continuously punching the skull masked villain in the face whilst he was laying some what submerged in the ground, his punches gradually slowed down as the flames on his body and the flames that made the dome protecting me began to turn into smoke, as the smoke subsided (Y/N) remained kneeling over the skull masked villain looking down on him unmoving. I slowly but surely stood up and limped over to (Y/N) and hugged him from behind, I felt him begin to shake, so I quickly turned him around and enveloped him in a motherly embrace in the hopes of calming him down it caused his shaking to subside, however from the sound of his breathing he was on the verge of a panic attack. 

(Y/N) POV

As I came to, I noticed that Midnight was hugging me and that the group of villains that were going to hurt Midnight were all lying on the floor with serious injuries and very severe burns; the sight was enough to was to remind me of the things my parents said to me years ago. 

(D/N): 'You're a monster!' 

(M/N): 'All you'll do is cause other people pain!'

As the voices resurfaced in my head I started to tear up, Midnight must have understood what was going through my head as she pushed my head down onto her shoulder and began rubbing her hand through my hair in an attempt to calm me down. 

(Y/N): "D-Did ... Did I k-kill them?"

Midnight: (softly) "No, No you didn't, there still alive" 'Just barely'  

(Y/N): (crying) "I'm sorry, I'm sorry"

Midnight: 'Poor boy, it's just like back then, he's traumatised' "It's all right, I'm alright, you're alright, everything's alright" 

Slowly but surely I started to fall into a slumber but not before hearing the shouts of my classmates quickly approaching.
