???: Get your feet off the table now!

Bakugo: Huh?

???: Don't you think that's rude to the upperclassmen and the excellent craftsman who made the desk?

Bakugo: Nope! What highschool did you go to, you side character?

Tenya: Let's start over. I attend Somei Private Academy. My name is Tenya Iida.

Bakugo: *scoffs* Somei? So you're a damn elite, huh? Looks like I'll have fun crushing you.

Tenya: Crushing? That's cruel. Do you truly aim to be a hero?

Ochako: Wow babe... First day of school and you're already making death threats. Must be a new record for you.

Bakugo: Shut up.

???: If you're here to make friends then go somewhere else.

All looked down to see a man in a sleeping bag.

???: This is the Hero Course.

Tenya/???: Something's there!

The man stood and unzipped his sleeping bag.

Aizawa: Okay, it took eight seconds before you were quiet. Time is limited. You kids are not rational enough, I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Nice to meet you. It's kinda sudden, but put this on and go to the field.

He took out gym uniforms from his sleeping bag to which everyone received. Once on the field they were told what came next.

Class 1-A: A QUIRK ASSESSMENT?!

Ochako: What about orientation?

Aizawa: If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for such leisurely events. U.A.'s selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are. That's also how the teachers run their classes. You kids have been doing these physical tests since junior high, too, right? Physical fitness tests where you weren't allowed to use your Quirks. The country still uses averages taken from results for students not using their Quirks. It's not rational. Well, the Ministry of Education is procrastinating.

His attention turned to GV, who had a special kind of handcuff on his hands.

GV: Remind me why I'm doing this again?

Aizawa: Just because you're the new combat instructor doesn't mean you'll skip education. GV, you scored highest at the Practical Exam, correct? You were the only to score 1000, earning your place in the history of U.A. Pretty impressive, care to demonstrate?

He tossed him a rubber ball as GV stepped forward with the cuffs still on him. His classmates were amazed by his score with the IzumSquad becoming irritated by this news.

Ochako: His scent is familiar. But why?

Aizawa: What was your score in softball throw?

GV: Don't know. I dropped out due to reasons.

Aizawa: Try anyway with your Quirk.

GV closed his eyes as a small amount of electricity surged around his right leg. He threw the ball up then did a kick, sending the ball far into the sky.

A strong gust of wind blew past causing the students to slightly fall back. Aizawa witnessed and became suspicious.

Aizawa: He's holding back even with the handcuffs on him. It doesn't seem like he's giving his all.

Aizawa: Know your own maximum first. That is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero.

The class after seeing how far the ball went. Reaching beyond the limit.
