My name is Rena Hathaway. Am the daughter of Jack and Ella Hathaway and am the twin sister of Jace Hathaway. My story begins or probably ends on my 7th birthday. My parents were returning from Mexico where they had gone for a business trip. On their way back their plain they had an accident...their plain crashed. Ever since that day my life completely turned around.
My life had no meaning without my parents. I loved them more, than anyone could ever imagine. And Jace too. We meant the world to them and they meant the world to us , so one could imagine the pain I and Jace were going through. We were completely unconsolable.

Days later we moved in with our mothers sister, Aunt Kathy, our only relative. Dad didn't have any siblings and mom had only one sister which was Aunt Kathy. When mom and dad were alive she never missed any of I and Jace's birthdays. She also came with her husband Uncle Gosh. With her hands full of presents for I and Jace. And every Christmas Eve too she always made sure to stop by our house and she never came without gifts. Aunt Kathy loved us very much. But few weeks after Jace and I moved in with her she began to change  little by little.
She stopped us from going to school, she made us wash her car every single day. We were made to do the dishes, do the laundry clean up the house, weep the garden. And if we didn't do any of this stuff so would definitely teach us a lesson. We would either be beaten or starved. She definitely introduced  Jace and I to a live of bondage. And I found that really weird cause Aunt Kathy was literally the nicest person ever. But why would she suddenly change. I wonder if her husband was manipulating her. He never liked us from the start. To be honest my mom never wanted Aunt Kathy to marry Uncle Gosh. I remember all the fights they had because of him.  He was such a terrible person. He drinks, he smokes and sleeps with uncountable women. But Aunt Kathy said that he promised to change but it looks to me that he never really wanted to change. I remember the smile he always had when Aunt was maltreating us.
Doing this time with Aunt Kathy Jace and I made a promise to each other. We promised ourselves to be together no matter what. We promised to go through thick and thin together and nothing could ever separate us. We promised to stay with each other, suffer together and get out together. That day I trusted my brother more than anything. He loved me soo much and I loved him too. We were now tied by destiny and nothing could separate us. Not even Aunt Kathy and her husband.
