Her entire being illuminated under the full and mysterious moon. Nobody could help but be drawn into her curious eyes which seemed as if it reflected the whole world.
She sipped her chamomile tea as the tips of her fingers eagerly pinched the next page of her book. With her last and final breath, she read the words, "...Forgive me."
Her eyelids fluttered, fighting to keep open, but to no avail, she lost. Her dark locks bobbled with her head as her body lost all strength. She slowly began to fall to her side but a familiar hand caught her.
He brushed aside the curls which softly cascaded across her face. Her once vibrant rosy cheeks, soft pink lips, sparkling eyes, and welcoming smile were now replaced with a pale, lifeless mask. He caressed her face, heart clenched, as he broke the deathly but ethereal filled silence,
"I dare not plead for forgiveness, but please, whether it be in the past, present, future, or perhaps in the afterlife, never forget me. Never shall I forget you, my love. My dearest."
