It was hard for Beam to tell his life story to Tin, but he owes it to him for all the help he received. No, the young Alpha did not pressure him to tell things but it was to his own accord. It was hard but he needs to lay everything out for Tin to understand. They both cannot keep up avoiding this topic whenever they will come across it.

"Mama Jane knew all about this."

He smiles upon hearing that. "Yes, she knows."

He told him everything there is to tell. All the way from his childhood and for the fact that he hated being himself—being an Omega. At first, he did not even know where to start. He felt like there was too much to say; but, of course, everything about him boils down to his dark childhood. He needed to start there for Tin to fully understand and to fully grasp how serious his situation is.

He told him about the man who they always run into and that man is none other than his father. There is no even room to be mistaken for this—he is the spitting image of that man.

"Can you just meet him then? I mean, I know this would sound to be very disrespectful to your grandmother but—"

He could not help but to chuckle. "I know you mean well, and it's not like that didn't cross my mind. It's just that..." He takes a deep breath and sighs. "It's just that I don't see the point of messing up their world by making my existence known."

For years that his grandmother has left him, he is telling the truth when he said that he also had all the thoughts of finally meeting his father. His very own biological father. He also fully knows that it would make him betray his grandmother, but he is not perfect. All the second thoughts, all the considerations, all the consequences that could happen if he goes against his promise of not meeting his father—he had everything well-thought in his head.

He had questions he knew could only be answered if actually made his move. What would his father's reaction be? Would he be surprised? Would he recognize him? Would he even believe him?

What if he does? What happens from then on? Will he join his family? Will his family accept him?

The questions are just endless and it will all end if he does choose to meet him and introduce his existence to him.

But he knows he could—would not do it.

"But you keep meeting him! He is literally bumping at you everywhere. Isn't that a sign?" Tin said, on the verge of his tears. "To hell with death promises! You can meet him if it's already the world who wants you to both meet!"

Now that makes him laugh and he immediately went to Tin's side to give him a hug. He felt his love with seeing him care this much and he always appreciates him for it. He messes his hair and even gives him a kiss on the head. "You're adorable and you're reminding me that I have two babies to raise."

Tin finally laughs too, and he looks at him. "Thank you for sharing this to me, Doc Beam."

He smiles and pinches his cheek. "We better fix ourselves and open the clinic up. You're already slacking, Doc Tin."

Pete wakes up from a nightmare, catching his breath as fast as he could. His heart is pounding so hard inside his chest that it actually hurts, he clenches on it harder and tries his best to calm himself down. It was just a nightmare, he kept his mantra on his head. It was just a night and it was already done. He is awake now. He is in reality right now.

He does not know for how long he was trying to calm himself, but when he finally did, he let himself fall on the bed again and stare at the ceiling.

Breathing deeply again, he knows nothing will happen if he stays here. It would be much better if he just goes his way to Forth.

After the whole fiasco that happened in the restaurant where they had their dinner, Forth insisted that he should not be alone, hence here he is at his room. Yes, he is the one who took the master's bedroom and Forth is the one who insisted on taking the guest room. They could just sleep together in one bed, but being alone in their situation is better.

He massages his face with his palms and sighs again.

Pulling himself up, he went his way to Forth.

"Do you believe in Fated pairs?"

Pete looks at Tin as if asks the dumbest question in the world.

The Alpha laughs, even wiping his happy tears. "You should have seen your face... but I'm serious though." He smiles and looks away again. "It makes me curious if people really believe in that or they just believe in it because it is what the society is telling them to believe."

Clearing his throat, he looks away too. "I guess it's really hard to believe something beyond Science can explain, huh?"

Tin chuckles, but this time his seriousness did not fade. "I believe in it but it doesn't mean I want to accept the idea of it. All these Fated pairings are just like a shitty joke from destiny. How can one possibly stop functioning normally just because they meet a stranger their whole being thinks to be theirs? Isn't that unfair?"

He was dumbfounded. He never thought of it that way—in fact, he never really gave Fated pairs a thought. "Well, if you put it that way..."

"It's unfair, right?" Tin looks at him, this time, his expression is hopeful. "You do see my point that it is unfair, right? Right?"

That made him laugh. Tin looks like a hopeful kid wanting someone to take his side. He nods. "If you put it that way, then yes it is. I haven't really thought about that."

Him? Him having his own Fated person? He cannot even begin to imagine it.

He simply wants to live his life and living his life means not thinking about the unnecessary things. Does he believe in Fated pairs? He does but it is none of his business. At least for now. He is one of those persons that rather face problems when he gets there. Why stress himself now when he can do it in the future?

"By the way, my mom really liked you."

He was caught off guard with the sudden change of topic that he instantly knew that he was all red!

Tin laugh and this time, his laugh is a very happy laugh.

All he could do was to punch him in the arm.

"Pete! Did I wake you up?"

He smiles and joins Forth in the kitchen. He was right. Forth would not be asleep and when he is like this, he would be having some cold beer. It is not even three in the morning—it is barely two AM.

"No, you didn't. I had my nightmare, how about you?"

Forth chuckles at how nonchalant he mentioned about what he just had. "Same, but much worse. I dreamt that I'm never going to have kids."

That stopped him from drinking his own beer. "Do you want to have many kids?"

Forth realizes his question and, of course, it is understandable that it took him a second to sink it in. They will get married. After that, it would be impossible that they will not have their own kids, especially that their own families would insist on that.

It is weird talking about this, but it is not like they can avoid this.

"Well?"

Forth smiles after finishing his third bottle. "Yes. I would really want to have a big family."
