Chapter Fourteen

Nagising ako nang maaga tapos tumakbo palabas ng kwarto. Nakita ko si Yaya Sabel kasama ng isang katulong na naghahain ng breakfast.

"Yaya si Axel?"

"Naku kanina pa nakaalis. Uuwi daw sa Cavite. Akala ko tinext ka niya?" Pagtataka ni Yaya Sabel.

"Hindi eh. Sige thanks!" I said and ran towards my room. Kinuha ko ang phone ko to check any messages from him pero wala.

"Oh Axel..." Mangiyak-ngiyak na ako kaya I tried calling him pero out of coverage area.

Narinig kong may kumatok at si Yaya Sabel pala.

"Iha yung isang driver ang maghahatid sa iyo sa school."

"No. I'd rather drive on my own. Kaya ko naman." I said defiantly.

"Huwag na huwag mong gagawin yan! Papagalitan ka ng Baba at Mama mo."

"Yaya nabangga lang ako sa poste noon. Alam ko kaya ko na. Please ayoko ng ibang driver." Walang magawa si Yaya kundi ang sundin ako.

I took a bath then got dressed tapos nag-almusal although wala akong gana. Kinuha ko ang keys ng Ford Everest tapos umalis na papuntang school.

Natatakot akong magdrive pero I didn't let my fear stop me. Gusto kong mapag-isa kasi ayaw kong iba ang kasama ko.

All I want is Axel and now he's not here.

Nakarating ako sa school na walang aksidente which made me smile even if I am dying inside.

"Trix!"

It was Felicity and Nina walking towards me.

"Anong balita? Asan si Axel?"

"Umuwi sa probinsya nila Nina." I said and grabbed my bag.

"Ha? Baka may emergency lang kay Mang Andres. Babalik din yun." Sabi ni Felicity.

"I hope so." I sighed and said goodbyes to my sisters then walked towards my classroom.

I looked at may hand wearing our couple bracelets. Naalala ko he threw it like he threw our love away. Di ko mapigilang umiyak kaya tumakbo muna ako sa ladies room.

Kinuha ko ang phone ko at tiningnan pero no texts and no calls. Di ko alam if anong gagawin ko para maayos ang ginawa kong panloloko kay Axel.

Pinahid ko ang luha ko tapos lumabas and I was hoping to survive this day without him.

In just a short time, Axel became my whole world and being without him makes me feel incomplete.

The day ended and still I haven't heard from Axel and it was killing me. I called the girls and they tried to cheer me up but somehow I don't like being pitied.

The week went by and there was still no Axel.

"Trix? Ilang araw ka nang ganyan. Kumain ka na." Nina said while she sat beside my bed.

"Walang akong gana." I snapped and covered myself with my big pillow.

"Alam kong nasasaktan ka sis pero you're neglecting yourself." Sabat naman ni Felicity.

It was a Sunday and since thursday pa akong di lumalabas sa kwarto. I want to be alone and wallow up on my own misery.

"I just wanna die." I said but not really meaning it.

"Duh Trix! It's not the end of the world!" Felicity said and wrestled the pillow from me.

"Oo end na ng world dahil iniwan ako ng mahal ko!"
