I catch the outside fastball to here my second baseman, also my best friend Abby Mckainley scream, "Going!" I release a bullet to the short stop to get the runner, one of my team mates out. I turn to the coach to see if it was exceptable, but I notice the shaking head of disapprovement. I gasp at my coach in front of me.
"How was that not a good throw?! I got her out right?!" I questioned in a surprised voice.
My coach in front of me still only shook his head. "You need a quicker release, even if Jessie is the fastest on our team, it doesn't mean that there are some other people faster than her," my somewhat muscular coach informed me. I sighed loud enough for him to hear and went back into position.
"Run it again!" I yelled telling my team to run it again.
The pitch that went right down the pipe smacked to my glove, I took the ball quickly out of my glove before I could hear the scream of my team. I rocket the ball into the shortstop's hand, only for her to wait a second for the runner to come sliding into the base.
I look at my coach giving him a 'how was that' look. Into my surprise I saw my coach clapping his hands.
He nodded, "That is how I want this play run, end of practice, but Carly stay here for a minute."
I nodded my head and jogged to coach in my catchers gear hearing the clanking of the shin guards. "Yes coach?"
"Ah Carly, even though you are the captain of team and my best catcher, you have to work as hard as the other girls."
I nodded," Yes coach I know."
"OK, now good, be careful getting home, see you tomorrow." He waved good bye, I nodded. I jogged in my catchers gear to the girl's locker room only to meet a two baseball players standing in my way.
"Hey pervs you can't go in there," I smirked. Their heads snapped over to me. They smirked with me and walked up to me slowly, probably trying to look cool. I tried to keep on my smirk plastered on my face, but I only giggled at them
These two boys were Cody and Cameron Schmidt, the twins and also my other best friends besides Abby. They were the goofballs of the school and I loved them. They were like the sun on my bad days.
The only thing that keeps them farther away from me is the douche bag, Danny Taeylor. He was the captain and also the star pitcher of the baseball team. Apparently Danny doesn't accept girls that plays sports. That is why I hate him. First off that is totally sexist and second that is just plain rude. I mean he doesn't get to choose other people's friends! Who is he to say that?!
I snapped back into reality when the twins tried to trick me on who is who. I am the only one in the whole school to know which is which. So they try to trick me on who is who. But I get them every time, which only makes me laugh.
"So Sam who is who?" they asked at the same time. They were also wearing the same clothes. Dark navy T-shirt, white pants that went all the way down to their matching black cleats, and they also had the exact same dirt stains. Which is totally creepy and it goes a little too far.
I laughed,"You are Cody," pointing at the boy with slightly blonde hair, "and you are Cameron," pointing at the boy with slightly dirtier blonde hair. They were imidiatly defeated when I pointed at them. They kicked the pebbles the on the parking lot and start muttering stuff like ah man or we will get her next time. I giggle and sat down on the parking lot to take off my maroon colored catchers gear.
I was just about to take off my left shin guard when I hear a giant shout. "Hey! Cody, Cameron! Don't you have something to do?!" I could tell the anger in his voice I was guessing that it was know other than the jerkface Danny Taeylor.
