Pretend Lucius was a nice to Draco ______________________________________
Let's be honest here. If some random lonely, muggle born Hufflepuff came up to you and told you how her best friend is Draco Malfoy, would you believe them? Of course not. That's what I always ask myself every day.
Draco was your best friend ever sience you were born. Both of your parents were best friends in Hogwarts back then. Lucius wasn't against muggle-born's back then. They stayed friends years and years later. The bond could never break between them. You and your mother were the only muggle-borns that Lucius could stand. He actually really liked you and thought you were a good influence at his son. You were really close to Malfoy family and so was Draco to yours.
When you and Draco went to Hogwarts you knew Draco would be sorted in Slytherin, but you weren't so sure about yourself. Your mother was in Hufflepuff while your father was in Grifindor. You knew there wasn't a way to be in Slytherin but everyone assured you that they will be proud of you no matter what house you get in. As Draco was sorted in Slytherin you waited your name to be said. As the hat was put on your head it sorted you in Hufflepuff. You were kinda sad even tho you knew you wouldn't get in Slytherin. But all the sadnes went away when Draco smiled at you and gave you thumbs up.
Nothing in this world could stop the two of you from being best friends. You were also a really lonely person so people bullied you a lot. Let's just say when Draco found out someone bullied you, they would never touch you or even look at you ever again. But nobody, even Draco, could stop it. Some people tried being friends with you but you didn't trust anyone except Draco. He would always try to help you to find some other friends at least when he isn't around. But it was pointless. You just didn't want anyone except him to be there. Not that you wanted him to yourself it was just that you had a really bad trust issues and you didn't trust anyone.
Draco tried everything. Even with Hermione. That girl is actually pain in the ass. She tried being friends with you and you wanted to be friends with her before but then you decided that won't work out. She would always bring Draco in conversation. She hated him. "How can you be best friends with Draco" "Draco is a jerk" "How can you trust Draco"..... It went on and on but whenever she said something you would always shut her up. Actually whenever someone brought Draco in bullying or something you would stand up to them. Draco was actually a really nice person to be around and nobody understood there. Nobody was there to help you other than him. You would always get pissed a lot when someone talked bad about Draco.
