There's a reason I always say that I got lost in the sunrise.
As much as I love to watch the sun go down every evening and see the colours sunset brings spill across the horizon, there's nothing like the morning.
At dusk, a day ends. It ends, and I don't know if I'll ever wake up again.
When darkness covers everything, no matter where I am, there's a feeling of being adrift.
But when dawn comes, when I get to watch the sunrise in all its pastel colours, it feels safer than ever.
And that's how I felt when I first met you.
You were like a sunrise.
You were like the dawn.
