It started off like any other love story. Friends. Her best friend and my best friend dated. We were close, but not too close. Just the way I liked to have people, at arm's length. That way no one would be hurt.

Her group and my group were considered one by most people. We hung out together sometimes. Going to the beach or to the roller rink. Like any other group of friends mostly. 6 boys and 4 girls. Some of us were closer than others.

One trip I remember stood out.
The trip was when her best friend, Olivia and my best friend, Jake started dating. It was out of nowhere and no one suspected it, but that also meant less and less time with them. I didn't mind at first but then it got lonely. That's where Amyra comes in. One lonely day I called her. We got ice cream, chocolate and lemon, then we fell in love. I calmed her depression and she cured my insomnia. I slept when I was with her and she was happier.

Looking back on it now it was a stupid decision. But we were home for each other, we felt loved and we didn't want to die everyday. It was an escape.

Your eyes are so true to their color. You know that? Absolutely breathtaking. The way you flick your eyes getting hungrier for more and more of the story hurts me, because I know the more you need, the quicker you'll be gone.
